Enemy with fat man...
How to avoid theri mini nuke? (not to use PA thx)

Most of time I have a long range with them( about 50~75 meter)

after I been found, turn back and sprint....3 second later I heard that voice and boom
wtf....just like they are using vats :(

Knock the weapon out of their hand with VATS.

Jet will give you a much better chance to outrun it, hotkey the stuff to make an IWIN button.
Alternatively, either make sure you kill them in one, hit and run so you don't get found, use a VATS crit to shoot down the nuke before it gets near (unlikely but can be done sometimes), or abuse VATS magic damage resistance during the firing sequence to tank it.

Haven't had that problem yet. Idiot raider used his MiniNuke to take out a single Feral Ghoul a good distance from me. Then he pulled a pipe pistol on me as I blew his head off with a hunting rifle.

ya even if you get close to them...........they will still fire there nuke anyway

JET is your ONLY ANSWER for direct combat.

if you cant fight them direct run away

or use POWER ARMOR - upgrade with more dr

or sneak around..............tough but doable

You need a weapon with a longer range, at least 109-200+. If you're outside, sneak, preferably at night, use vats.

I have, by level 71, managed to not die once in my main Fallout 4 playthrough on Hard difficulty. Not bragging, but perhaps my approach to combat is in order here.

Step 1) Skulk around until you hear/see/smell enemy with Fat Man launcher.

Step 2) Stealthboy.

Step 3) Position yourself directly adjacent to enemy's rear end - preferably between the cheeks if at all possible.

Step 4) Consume Jet and Psycho, or PsychoJet.

Step 5) Unload everything you've got directly up into enemy's cranium.

Step 6) Skulk away.

give your companion a fat man and mini nuke, and enjoy the fireworks.

Not necessarily. The Fat Man is one of the few weapons in the game marked as NPCs Consume Ammo. So if you give your companion a Fat Man (Not a smart idea since they'll fire it in an enclosed space) and a MiniNuke, they'll fire it once and use up that MiniNuke.

Yeah...I was being sarcastic.

Bank a critical, and carry a fatman yourself. Launch it at him with a critical for 100% vengeance.

Side Note, Power armor won't stop you from getting exploderededed by a fatman anyway, if anything, it's worse because it increase your hitbox size which might make some objects that provide cover against the blast ineffective.

Also, knowing where Fatman-wielding enemies are is helpful.

1. Lexington Square, inside the makeshift skybridge over the town square.

2. Outpost Zimonja

3. Gunner's Plaza, Gunner Captain+ that overlooks the pavillion and marshlands (EXTREME DANGER: Respawns in less than 72game hours, even on Survival)

4. Quincy, on top of the Church

VATS has a rather limited range. Even with a medium scope, you could take out your enemies from much further away than that.

Wow thx for reply guys! I think jet will be a nice way to flee?
Also I'm playing in survival mode, sometimes vats freeze so I rarely use it.

Not mention clearly in op:
I'm using gauss rifle in about 200 range... and I'm been found then try to flee but failed.

Most time I died form those fatman/ missile launcher ...are those legendary enemy.
scattered in their outpost or just in random encounters.

Don't know is luck or bad luck XD

Conveniently enough there is a perk to remove friendly fire from companions, and DLC that gives you robots with dual mini nuke launchers that don't need ammo.
