Help with Beantown Interiors Drunken Gnome Quest (spoilers, I guess)
Hey everyone. I have been trying to collect all the Drunken Gnomes for the quest added by chucksteel's Beantown Interiors mod. This is NOT the Standalone version. I am having a helluva a lot of trouble locating one of these little bastards. I know I found him before and I know where. At least I think so. It was a while since I last played and a lot has gone on since then. Anyways that's besides the point.

The little bastard in question is called Sergeant Shultz or something like that and I think he is supposed to be at Relay Tower OMC-810. However I have cased the damn place like 200 times aalready and no mas. The guy isn't there.

So has anyone found him before? If so, where at?

I remember the first time I played FO4 with BI I thought I found a Titter, Mad Bomber and Nuka Cola mag in Concord. I still find the Titter and I just found a Nuka Cola but in a place I had never gone before so unless there is more than on there I am wrong about that one. Now I cannot find a Mad Bomber anywhere. This mod is driving me crazy! (crazier I should say)

In the mod description page on Nexus or Bethesda it will give you a location guide. There are 6 of Suicide bomber and Nuka world mags plus eyeball titter etc.Generally the buildings that have white windows are the ones to look in. For example Hyde Park has 1 building and it has a Suicide bomber mag in it. You may have to move other stuff to get to them. The one in Concord is in one of those 3 standalone houses on the hill behind a radiator and it it is upside down so unless you actually point at it it wont say anything. Have fun :steamhappy:

OK, thanks! I don't have a location guide in the description page on the nexus.

OK then go to the bethesda mod page and it will be there. I actually use the Beantown Interiors and Gnomepocalypse from the Bethesda site because they seem to be more stable

If you still need the locations they are :
4 Beaver Ck (Far Harbour) ; 2 Bradberton (Nuka World); 5 Charlestown; 9 Cambridge; 3 Cambridge Crater; 1 Chestnut Hallock; 20 Concord; 6 East boston; 7 Forest Gv Marsh; 1 Hyde Park; 5 Jamaica Plain; 1 Lexington; 1 Medford (not in the hospital);4 Nahant; 1 Nuka station(Nuka World); 4 Salem; 6 South Boston; and 4 Quincy. While I said buildings with white windows this is not always true and these are not gnome locations :steamhappy:

I don't know if it is me or what, but I do not have a guide on bethesda either. lol Thanks for the info! Just one question, are you saying there are 20 mags in concord?
rogere1164 8. jan. 2019 kl. 21.26
No those are the number of buildings in each area lol

I've played the game enough to know which buildings are newly opened. For one thing, the ones he opened are a real mess. There are 6 each of 4 mags right? I'm not saying you have not been a big help, because you obviously have been. Thanks for everything!
rogere1164 12. jan. 2019 kl. 18.39
There is 4 suicide bombers in the commonwealth and 1 ea in nuka world and far harbor and i think its the same for the nuka world mags. Not sure how many of the other ones but i've only found 6 of each (but that's just me) :steamhappy: . As for the mess you can actually remove that by enabling hardcore clutter in the settings holotape

I had to restart again due to quests being broken. So I started with only BI enabled. When I did several quests that were broken before I enabled the stand alone. So far things are working pretty good. I don't know how many mods I have installed but it is a good bit. I have most of the collectible mods and several cleanup and model mods running. One thing that is a real pain is the lard times between areas or exiting buildings. My computer is not too old and it is fast and has plenty of memory, video and ram. I am assuming it is one or more of the mods that makes the load times so slow.

Put this in your FO4 ini file under mygames in the general section

uGridsToLoad=7
uExterior Cell Buffer=64 (if you have a 64 bit system)
iNumHWThreads=6 (6 is the number of cores in my CPU so put in whatever yours is)

It won't make it super fast but it will help :steamhappy:

I counted the mods and I have 45 enabled. Thanks for the info! I did it. My ini had 5 and 36 for the first 2 lines and the third line wasn't there so I added it. Thanks again.

OK so this is interesting. I've been trying to work out why I kept on losing lockpick ability when using the Project X mod. Looks like it's the Beantown interiors setting "mod compatibilty" in the holotape. Do Not Use it and everthing works ok and the buildings are fully accessible :steamhappy:

OK, thanks! I don't have any of the mods listed anyway so no problem.

Is anybody still following this post? I'm still missing one gnome from BI, I believe it's the chef, don't know his name. Can anyone give me a location to find him?
