#1 - Install all the required frameworks: AWKCR, LOADS, New Calibers, See-Through Scopes, and Crafting Workbenches.
For Crafting Workbenches you must install ammo crafting as the ammo crafting bench mesh is required. Without it you'll either have an invisible uncraftable ammo bench, or you will CTD going into the crafting menu in settlement building.
#2 - Install the Crafting Workbench Ammo plugin in the main files section. When prompted to overwrite Crafting Workbenches - Ammo.esp choose yes. Crafting Workbenches - Ammo Expanded.esp and Crafting Workbenches - Ammo Special.esp should be removed if you have them installed.
#3 - Install Weaponsmith Extended v2 Plugin from the main file section.
#4 - Download the bundled asset pack and all the weapon mods under the heading in the description page, REQUIRED WEAPON MODS TO DOWNLOAD SEPARATELY. Move all these mod archives to one folder.
#5 - Extract all the rar/7zip archives. Using Archive2.exe extract all ba2 archives. Compile all the assets into a single folder.
#6 - Separate Sound, Sounds, and Materials/Weapons/mjp folders into a new folder called Weaponsmith Extended 2 Loose Files. Rar/7zip that folder and install it with NMM.
#7 - Using Archive2.exe create new file using General format. Add Materials, Meshes, and Scripts folders. Save as Weaponsmith Extended 2 - Main. Create new file using DDS format. Add Textures folder and save as Weaponsmith Extended 2 - Textures. Errors about .jpg, .tga, thumbnail files not being included in the archive are harmless. The texture ba2 is for .dds files only, all the rest are added junk. Place the 2 ba2s in your Fallout 4/Data folder manually, they are too large to install with NMM.
#8 - For your load order you want Weaponsmith Extended 2.esp right near the bottom. I recommend only putting compatibility patches to merge other mods' leveled lists with the lists from Weaponsmith, and custom followers and Unlimited Companion Framework or Everyone's Best Friend below Weaponsmith Extended 2.esp.
Here is my current load order for reference.
edit: Also, make sure you have the Creation Kit installed so you can use Archive2.exe (that's part of the Creation Kit).
Take your time, read everything twice and you should be fine. I'm absolutely loving it.
if that amount of reading is going to make you freak out then no video would help. If you just take it slow and read exactly what it says, you can do it. The nexus page is pretty clear on what you have to do.
do you know if this method works properly? or outdated?

where dex is wrong, is the tutorial did NOT have any issues, mines did, i followed the tutorial and had issues.
I did take it slowly.
I am just going to try again its ok. thank you for taking you're time to help me.
i appreciate it alot, especially you and arya and cfs.
you usually find the solution or at least enlighten me as to what im doing wrong, so i'll wait and see how your installation goes.
anyway, to answer you're question.
The issue that arose for me, was when i followed the tutorial. he created a dds archive with archive 2.. extracted the textures folder to archive 2 and made a new file called
weaponsmith extended 2- Textures
^ this does not save for me.
I added already downloaded textures to one Textures folder.
Then selected file type (DDS) from Archive 2 Archive Settings tab.
Weaponsmith Extended 2 - Textures saved as BSA2 file in DDS form correctly.
Did you do exactly this?
where is this downloaded textures located? is this the textures folder which is located in the Weaponsmith bundle files? ..
okay, heres something as well, what files am i downloading through NMM?
is it core files for weaponsmith ONLY?.
so, ammo dump patch, and the very first main file?
I'm literally starting again right now, as i type.
I made a new folder to work with supported mods. I excted them to there and then I extracted BA2 files (when available) to same location. Textures from all of them formed one big Textures folder. I used Archive 2 to pack them as DDS BA2 file. It saved without error in my end.
