Pip-Boy & Armor Workbench
The Pip-Boy is not showing in the armor workbench for me. Anyone else having this issue? The creation club Pip-Boy skins show that they are craftable at the armor workbench. Not sure how to actually do that, since it doesn't show up.

Any older mod that edits the vanilla Pip-Boy record will cause this issue. The CC update changed the vanilla Pip-Boy record so it can now be modified at the armor workbench. However, if you have an older mod that edits the same record, it will override the NEW vanilla one.

The TL;DR version is UNINSTALL or UPDATE your older Pip-Boy mods.

Thanks for the response! After you said that I figured it must be the Pip-Boy Flashlight mod I was using. Found a simple fix on the Nexus comments page of that mod. Got it working now.

Yup, Pip-Boy Flashlight was one of the mods that are causing this issue. Glad you go it sorted out.

eh I dont think so. I have no mods and there's nothing under the pipboy tab in the workbench

HOW Resolve the problem (skin not showing on next gen, flashlight problem)

Open fedit
Find the pip boy skin mod etc
Drag the pip boy line from SX (fallout vanilla) to DX the last mod

You might be able to fix it by changing the following on the Pip-Boy in the "Armor" section of the pip-boy flashlight esp using FO4Edit. All it takes is some clicking and dragging values from Fallout4.esm. No idea why that mod alters the pip-boy so much, it even renames it!


Revert the "Preview Transform" to the Vanilla value (ArmorArm)
Revert the Male and Female world models to the Vanilla value (Props\PipboyMiscItem\PipboyMisc01.nif)
Revert the "KWDA - Keywords (sorted)" to the Vanilla value (cc_ma_PipBoy_Texture)
Revert the "APPR - Attach Parent Slots" to the Vanilla value (cc_ap_PipBoy_Texture)

Save the esp and it should show up in the workbench now :cq2happy:

I deleted Any mods that had to deal with modifying the pip boy still, it’s not showing up for me

you may have to make a new character.

Fallout 4 records everything into your save games. Just because you remove a mod, it doesn't remove the edits made to the save game.... and without the mod to reference back on loading the save with the now deleted mod baked it, you've opened the door for Save Game Corruption....

I just wanted to clarify that I am using bethesda.net mods on PC because I don’t really get the other ways to mod but if I start a new game. It will change the reference back to the default so that when I go back to my regular saves the pip boy should show up in the armor workstation correct?

Please use vortex for mange properly all the mod, Fallrim for clean the save, Foedit for adjust some minor problem, than start a new game:

I ended up testing by disabling every single mod I had out of curiosity and I enabled the one at a time until I discovered which one caused it. It was the crowbar mod when I got rid of it, not only the bug fixed for me with the pip boy not showing up in the armor station the game became overall a lot more smoother for some reason I’ve got more FPS too Here is the link of the mod that was causing me the problem "https://mods.bethesda.net/en/fallout4/mod-detail/781826" So you can avoid it for yourselves So the bug never happens to you (edited)
