So, there's a PS4 Pro Enhanced Version of F4 in 4k. Then.....
Then, us PC players, that MADE Bethesda what they are today are still getting screwed with no 21:9 resolutions. For real? I can go buy a used copy of F4 for my PS4 Pro and play in glorious 4k but on my 21:9 monitor using a 3440x1440 resolution I still can NOT play it? I STILL get a cramped screen with sidebars and crappy looking graphics even though I have everything on Ultra and at max rez?

WWWWWW
TTTTTTTTT
FFFFFFFFF,
Bethesda? Seriously?

You're 100 percent sure they are using the entire 3400x1440 screen on the ps4 pro?

Haven't you heard? Bethesda are crowd-sourcing everything now. I'm sure they'll be able to charge you for this feature as a 'mini dlc' from the creation club at some point if you wait a while. ¬_¬

From the looks of it, yes. Now, I don't own it but I wandered in a Gamestop the other day and asked if they had a PS4 Pro model with a Fallout4 demo looping by chance. Yep. Looks GLORIOUS. Full 4k support with HDR as well. My PC? No mofo love at all from them. Annoyed is saying it lightly.

Also, the PS4 Pro is 3840x2160....full 4k.

(upscaled)

Doesn't matter if it's upscaled. It LOOKS amazing on the PS4 Pro at 4k. Stunning even.
Upscaled not = native. It's not really 4k.

If you blow up a photograph of sh*t you still have sh*t.

It's the same when consoles claimed to be 1080p but turned out it was just 724 upscaled.

People have low standards and thats ok its their choice.
Well considering PS (and PS Pro) use antiquated AMD gpus that are lagging 10 years behind PC (the equivilants to the decade old HD4850 for earlier models HD7970 for pro if I recall) it only takes half a brain cell to know it isn't really 2k, or 4k. Half the time it isn't even 1080, or if it is it's at 24fps.

If you want true 4k textures get a 4k monitor, a competent CPU (something else consoles lack, because again.. AMD) and a beefy GPU. Then see the difference. It's night & day.

I have a feeling that if "Fallout 4" were rendered in 4k on the PC, then you would basically need to shell out $1,200 for a GPU that can operate this game at 4k! In other words, it would basically require an nVidia Titan XP graphics card! Here's a link that tells you about this extreme graphics card, including its $1,200 price tag: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/titan-xp/

Personally, I'm running F4 with a GTX 1080 Hybrid and an AMD 8350 BE unlocked at 4.2. I'm running everything on Ultra with DoF and Blur OFF (I HATE, HATE, HATE them) with the game running at 3440x1440 (thank you Nexus once again and WSGF) and my game seems to be actually running TOO FAST. Yes, you read that right. It almost seems too fast. With running at this rez I would see absolutely no problem running this game in 4k. None. Oh, and that's with their HD texture pack installed as well as a few graphic mods to amp up the beauty.

Now, I haven't run any tests to see what fps I'm getting but with the monitor unlocked running at 144hz (standard) and the GTX Hybrid (watercooled block) running this game, I see no reason a 1060 or 1070 or even an AMD series card couldn't push this game into 4k easily. Yes, 4k is demanding but the cards made the past 5 years with their passes could easily handle this 10year old revamped engine. Now, if this game actually used an engine that actually was demanding that would be a different story. However, this antique engine isn't exactly pushing the boundaries of software engineering. Ya know?

So you're getting a super high frame rate like that in fo4 at 4k with settings maxed out (including shadow distance)?

I think you're dreaming. There's no way an 8350 could push a 1080 in that manner and achieve those frame rates in this game with the settings you say (ultra MAXED out? Lol?).

Me, along with the rest of the community here I'm sure, would love to see a video of you running around downtown somewhere (swans pond maybe) with a frame rate counter running and settings completely maxed out in 4k so we can all witness this blistering frame rate.

I'm going to be optimistic and say you're fps will be in the teens somewhere.

Who gives a rats ass seriously 4k gimmick at release prices ..:steamfacepalm:
Ragnaman Sep 1, 2017 @ 8:49pm
Skyrim was designed for Consoles as priority (the UI itself is horrible because it was designed for a gamepad in hand). Since Oblivion the market focus was on consoles, till F4 (and onward).

p.s.
which sucks a bag of donkey nuts

I will personally pay you to make a video showing your frame rate running 60fps@ultra in 4k on an FX 8350.

You're either a very, very bad liar or just plain delusional that needs locking up in a loony bin.

p.s: my 8350@4.8ghz was frame dropping into the 20s in some parts of the game. And that was with shadow distance to medium! It's one of the main reasons I upgraded. (Have a ryzen now).

FX chips are like 15 years old now. To claim a 15 year old antique could run 4k@ultra/60fps is absolutely ludicrous.

Hey guys my Amiga A500 can run Crysis 3 4k 144fps
