Fallout 4 after Update 1.10.2 not starting anymore

Hi everyone,

ähm, I did not notice, that there was a new Updat to Fallout 4 and I did not really care about it because I had noch much time last weeks.
But I tried to play Fallout 4 today and it is not starting anymore.
Does somebody know if there is a problem with the Update? Becaus it worked till my game was Updated.
As information I hardly modded my game with F4SE and round 200 Mods from Nexus.

I hope someone can help me.

you need a new F4SE for the new patch.

I already Installed the newest version of F4SE.
And its not working. I get a black screen bur right before the little video should start it crashes back to desktop. T.T

I have the same problem, updating F4SE didn't help. However I noticed that the game starts if you set bInvalidateOlderFiles=0 in Fallout4Custom.ini. That breaks many mods tough so a proper solution is still missing.

Other mods that do not use FO4SE can crash because of the new executable too.

And I have read that every time the CC content gets updated, there will be a new execurtable. Do not be surprised if it will be a very common thing (maybe weekly, or even daily if it really goes bad). So - every once in a whil you have to update FO4SE and other mods not directly depending on FO4SE, but do depend on some inner workings of the (very regulary updated) executable.

And, of course, every time CC gets updated all content will be downloaded and placed on your Hard Disk. So say goodbye to your fee space (and if you have a download cap - well... Good luck - You are going to need it).

ähm, ok. is there a possibility to prevent Fallout 4 from updating? because looking after updates for 240 mods every day is quite hard. Till there is an auto update tool.

The latest version of FO4SE is 0.5.0 and should work with game version 1.10.20. If that's not longer the case, I gues the FO4 executable is updated again. I will test on my system (please tell me that it's not true).

My Fallou4.exe is version 1.10.20.0 and my F4SE is 0.5.0.
=> Fallout 4 not starting.
Whats the hell on the wasteland is going on?

set fallout 4 to only update when you launch, F4SE will run the game without updating it

Just be careful not to accidentally run the original exe as that would make it update on you.

My game is doing the same thing without F4SE. It's the base game and it does it without any mods active.

As someone said earlier the only known "fix" atm to be able to at least play is reversing what we would normally do to make mods work. bInvalidateOlderFiles=0

This at least letsd you play your modded save, but you will have virtually no mods actually active.

Have same problem here, my game were just fine before gets ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by that stupid CC. Now can't start the game with updated F4SE or even without it. This make me say goodbye to all my 100 hours with settlements. Bravo Bethesda !!

Where is the new version of F4SE? It is not listed on the silverlock site.
