How to remove Creative Club content?
That update of about 2 GB, is it possible to safely remove it since I do not plan to spend a dime on buying mods?

Upon updating or verifying it might redownload, but the files are in the Data folder

I took one week for survival to be hacked, dont think it will take too long for the CC file.

This element of this dookie storm is also idiotic. I will never, ever buy mods. Ever. And even if I did I surely do not need an entire catalog of mods, most of which I would never want anyways, to be on my hard drive. What kind of idiotic execution of a bad idea is this?

Someone already broke it less than 24 hours after the update: http://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/1473095331511085550/

Wow, faster then expected.

This is a valid question. How can you get rid of this unwanted content on your HDD?
No idea sadly..
Unless you go search for info on file ID's and where to delete them and what that will cause to your game..
Best to stick it out for a while, solutions will be forthcoming from savvy ppl soon..

This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I will never pay for a mod, yet they get loaded onto my system taking up my storage space!?!?!?!?!?!
This, right here, cures most arguements around this Creation Club debacle, if somebody could post link of removing this junk, they would be boss. I already have the mods I want, don't plan on more, the game is now old and I have played it to death. Every now and then I like roaming around and killing things, I do not want this useless addon, if I "have" to get the bloody thing to play? Fine, but I want my disk space back. Forcing things on people is what causes war, and war? War never changes. I want my disk space back, I have better things to use it up with. Sure, its only 2+ gigs, not really an issue, but its still MY disk space, not Zenimax's or Bethesda's, and the pricks aren't paying me rent, damned squatters, worse, they expect me to pay for the junk they leave behind.

Go to where you installed Steam on your system /steam apps/common/Fallout 4/data

Look right at the top of the data folder, everything with "cc" is from the Creation Club. Delete these files to remove the Creation Club content form your system. Right now its not much at only 681MB, much of yesterdays update was adding compatability for the CC and the new .esl file format.

After you've removed the current CC content from your system, I would suggest setting Steam to only update on launching the game, then install F4SE and use that to launch the game from now on. Launching the game through F4SE bypasses the update check, which will ensure the game never receives another update, most of the updates from here on out are likely to be nothing more than Creation Club stuff so it can safely be skipped.

This is good news. I will try this how ever there is one more thing that ticks me off is the in game (Main-Menu) advertising of there Crap-Content. You can't miss it's right there on the top right corner.

The main menu is so bloated with options i don't need or use.
Why not have sub-menus or the ability to hide them if i want adds i can just brows the web.

@Zee Thank for the solution.

Cheers :steamhappy:

On the data folder, the object files (the shotgun, power armor etc) start whit "cc" in their name. I just deleted those files and launched the game to see if it worked or redownloaded the files or what. Game worked fine, no downloads again. However, those files I deleted are only 400 mb in total, still 1.5 gb of crap installed. There's a post about reverting to a previous version of the game, sadly I can't look for the link right now, but it's a post here on Steam.

I wonder if you could get a steam refund on the basis that the required hard drive space is radically different than advertised.
Xyzzy Aug 31, 2017 @ 10:28am
and after you rollback, play it offline.

Once people start getting 'mods' to activate this stuff for free Bethesda will remove it. It's already started from what I've read so far.

From what I have read, even with CC the game files are less then required with no nonCC mods.

From above, they didn't hack the files in that link, it was a troll. But you don't even need to hack the files, just write an esp and they will work. Did one blind in like 10 minutes.
