If you kill a merchant, do you get everything he was selling
Probably not but I guess its worth asking.

No, you don't, their goods come from a magical container that is nowhere to be found.
Killing their pack brahmin (if they have one) also gets you nothing.

oh well that wouldve been a cool gambit. (take everything once from x vendor but never get anything from him/her again)

No, A separate container. This is why openactorcontainer1 opens the equip inventory. There's another command for the "Mercantile" inventory.
