Running F4SE alongside Steam Overlay.

I love to clock in hours & get achievements, when I load the f4se_loader.exe it runs seperately to Steam. I have tried the renaming and then add that .ini file but it still didn't work. Does anyone else know the workaround?

uhh...f4se works with steam overlay though. I have never had that issue before. when you run f4se, does your pp bezel turn into green?

Are you sure it isnt working with steam? Alt-tab out and check your library and see if it says running.

I don't do anything special and it works fine, just open steam and launch the game with the loader.

So the game itself doesn't have the overlap, Shift-Tab does not bring it up although other non-steam applications such as my Nvidia overlay does.
I checked my profile & it does say I am in Fallout 4.
I cannot do screenshots the normal way either.

hmm...did you *accidentally* disable the steam overlay?
edit: are you using f4se 0.4.2?

Yes, I am using 0.4.2 and no I did not accidentally deactivate it.

You can add it through your steam library, at the bottom click “add a game” and find f4se.
This way you can use steam overlay, fps counter, ect…
For the achievements I can’t help you, they don’t work with mods anyway.

I am always posting lots of screenshots in my sessions and I cannot simply upload them anymore. I think I will just use F4SE for when I'm building.

Are you sure that this isn't a Windows permission issue, or a problem with Steam? I am using F4SE all the time. I can take screenshots and upload them normally.
