Christmas in Diamond City
Thought I'd gone nuts. Just got back to DC and found Christmas trees and decorations everywhere.

Looked it up and it is part of the game. First time I have seen it during hundreds of hours of gameplay.

Nice touch.

I'm almost to the Christmas part, currently it's like November 20th xD I've never seen it but heard of it. Makes me wonder if there's any other holidays in diamond city

They also decorate the town for Halloween with black and orange decorations everywhere. Its just not as obvious as the Christmas decorations since you see 200 year old halloween decorations spread throughout the game. The Christmas setup really stands out because Diamond City is the only place you see them.

it kind of suggests that Diamond City is more civilized, more back to normal, than the rest of the Commonwealth. They are secure enough to celebrate xmas.

I was offended so I ran around DISABLING all the xmas stuff and replacing them with perfectly sensible festivus poles.

Don't forget to markfordelete those offensive decorations. Festivus poles, the nerve, they are Happy Holiday non-denominational vertical standards (respect to Polish). Small print disclaimer: Not that you have to be happy and might choose or have to work, so maybe not a holiday.

Well in a pinch, Just strap some laser rifle parts and a crank to the pole and you have a laser musket so, PRactical AND non-offensive. Except maybe to Pacifists, But I think those all died out that fateful day in 2077. :V
