Ok, THIS one is new.
So here I sit, having the game since release with no dlc or mods and having never cheated or even beaten the storyline yet.

So on my explosives build, which I am quite enjoying, I come across a legendary with a mod that I have literally NEVER seen before. EVER!

Quite amusing. One to save for the joking name.

You should see my collection of assorted"Junkie's" weapons. I can truly say it's epic and belongs in a museum.

The Junkie legendary prefix is useless unless you're doing a chem-addict build. But it is pretty funny. Nothing beats the Two-Shot, though. I found a Two-Shot laser musket, made it a 6 crank Two Shot laser musket, and I can annihilate most things with 2 or 3 cranks, and everything I've encountered so far with 6 cranks. It's WILD.

As far as cool legendary effects go, I think the Deadeye prefix is really underrated.

I SO want to find an explosive minigun for my explosive build. That would be perfect.

Good luck! Enemies carrying miniguns are rare enough as is. Especially a legendary enemy carrying a minigun. Even more so for one with the explosive prefix. I wish you luck in your hours and hours of grinding that I assume it will take lol

Well, I'm only lv 26 on this build. Gives me plenty of time to hoard 5MM ammo.

And to maybe find an explosive missile launcher.

I know, thjose don't exist. But a player that doesn't mod can dream.

Two Shot is probably the best generalist prefix. Instigating is better for sniping, and explosive and wounding are better for anything that relies on multiple hits. Lucky is competitive with Instigating if your character is built to use critical hits.

Just to shatter your dreams a bit, I remember them not actually being very good if you use console commands to make one, because the Explosive prefix doesn't work that well with the weapon's normal explosive properties.

Getting a Defiant missile launcher would be nice, but there's a legendary rule that stops Defiant turning up on weapons with the keyword for a small clip size, so you'll only get one with console commands or a mod. Likewise with Never Ending, because that only appears on "guns" that have the keywords for a rifle stock or pistol grip. But if you can't kill something with four missiles, chances are that more wouldn't help.

I'm carrying a Junkies Missile Launcher right now.

Well okay, I'm not carrying it, my current character is. Cause if I was, that would be weird.

Just to clarify, I was joking about an explosive missile launcher. I know it would defeat the purpose of it. But an explosive minigun would rule over all.

It's good, but it's hard to match an Explosive combat shotgun or Explosive flechette harpoon gun in the amount of bang you get for your caps.

Whenever I hear Brotherhood soldiers talking about how a minigun chews through ferals like paper, I can't help thinking that they've confused "ferals" with "ammunition".

Unless they are using the ferals AS ammunition. :P
And sad to say I don't have the dlc or the season pass. STILL kicking myself for not getting the pass when it was $20.

Just wait for it, I've seen this game's DLC go on sale multiple times.

Fatman + double projectile = Enemies might as well just lay down and die. (Not sentry bots though.

Ballistic explosives + Legendary Sentry bot =lolnodents (it's even worse with mods that scale enemies)

No love for Furious? I mean, I know you have to actually get consecutive hits for it to count, and it's a Nuka-World prefix, so you need the DLC. But dude... DUDE. 15% extra damage each hit is straight up ridiculous, especially if you're talking something that already hits like a truck, is decently accurate, and fires at a fairly quickly rate (Handmade Rifle comes to mind. I mean, even two uniques already come with it in the game. And they are GODLY.).

Say you fire and hit with even just 8 consecutive shots, which, should take what, less than two seconds? Unfortunately, Fallout 4's fire-rate stat is not literal rpm or rps sooo...give or take.
With a fully upgraded, fully perked (Commando) HMR, your base damage is 84.
So:
1st shot = 84
2nd (x1.15) = 96.6
3rd (1.3) = 109.2
4th (1.45 = 121.8
5th (1.6) = 134.4
6th (1.75) = 147
7th (1.9) = 159.6
8th (2.05) = 172.2

Add that up and you have 1,024.8 damage. In what is likely (I think) less than two seconds. That is pretty nuts. Especially when you consider the other bonuses like...still having 22 or 67 more shots left, not having to worry about blowing your own face off with Explosive damage, or no wind-up or nothing, just a fresh magazine and some decent trigger discipline/accuracy (HMR is already pretty decently accurate out to medium-ish ranges).

Of course that also doesn't factor stuff like resists, damage scale per difficulty, Adrenaline bonus in Survival, so-on, but yeah...

It may not be the most ammo efficient means of melting foes, and I'm sure Explosive or Instigating on the right weapons can manage to top that in terms of just statisical DPS (Explosive is particularly OP, because of the splash and damage applying to multiple limbs. It's very forgiving-minus, again, if you're trying to kill something charging you just three few away :P). Or if you're just trying for that reliable one-shot kill (which is almost never 100% reliable).

Just imagine, though...on a fully perked and upgraded Minigun or Gattling Laser, managing every consecutive shot on something- though in that case it probably has to be right in front of your face, haha. Still, though...

Furious isn't a Nuka World Legendary effect. Have you never killed Swan? He drops the Furious power fist. You might be thinking of the Splatter Cannon/Problem Solver, two unique guns that always have the furious effect. Those were added with Nuka World, but the prefix itself is vanilla.
