Railroad Bioweave Is Vastly Overpowered
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1103832408

Hey, it looks cute as Hell. But should this woman actually have an armor class of 223 ballistic 225 energetics and 35 antiradiation? And her dress isn't even fully updated yet (90 ballistic 100 energetics).

Come on, if she fully suits up, with her chest armor that only covers half her neck, skimpy arm and leg armor and a bioweave 5 hat and fatigues, her AC is going to top 300/300/35. This is much better protection than that provided by full blown Marine Armor. And it's approaching the protection of T-45A power armor.

I think a reduction is called for, with an upper limit of, say, 30/30 for each piece, with no more than 2 pieces wearable at once. If not, what's the point of looking for better and better normal armor. Bioweave automatically beats everything else.

weaver is OP makes every actual helmet useless, its better to get a luck +1 hat and make it have 200 armor

dunno, got that bikini mod for my character, looked at it, "hm, for that amount of clothes 1 pound is too much", got into CK and halved it, now it's realistic, felt good, but then i thought "hey, i don't wanna switch to my armored suit every time things go bad and switch it back when the problem solved", got back into CK and added ballistic weave mod and vault suit lining to it: not realistic even a bit and got that "armored bikini" cliché but, hey, now my character can kick аsses while showing off her аss, still feels good!

My chick wears the bikini suit (synth armor a model). Wearing only that and her bioweave 5 helmet put s her AC at about 200/200/35. If things look a little dicey she throws on the fatigues, and, pop, AC over 300/300/35.

It's a for women only deal, because who wants to see some male's hairy behind running around in skimpy leotards? It's a form of sex discrimination here. It's one reason I haven't played as a male character in almost the last 2,000 hours of gameplay.

Taking in consideration there's a FO4 mod that makes guys hairy (rear included) and that there's a mod that adds skimpy men's swimwear there're people who like to see that kind of stuff.

I can see it now. The fabulous Bioweave 5 jockstrap, AC 110/115. Now men, too, can run around naked, bouncing bullets with their barely covered balls. Eechhh...starting to get a little nauseous here.

...or regular armor is underpowered.
I choose regular armor solely on the legendary effects, not armor rating.

Should any and all regular armor really be that much weaker than power armor?

It's also good for role playing. With BW you get the freedom to dress the way you want without totally forfeiting your ability to actually survuve firefights.

Armor is really poorly balanced in general. The armor pieces that cover more than one part are not worth it compared to having more individual pieces with their own bonuses.

Ballistic Weave is overpowered for sure, but it also seems incredibly random where you're even allowed to use it.

Going off the cancelled van Braun as well as new vegas the bleeding edge of prewar combat armor namely the Hermes armour and the ncr ranger armour which is hinted to be the Hermes armour is on par with older model power armor like the T45.

The relevant question her is: Should a woman wearing only a bra, a cap, and some panties really be able to win a gunfight against a paladin in T-60 power armor? Mine does, all the time.

"realism" wise weaver should be removed or nerfed a ton
But since this is a singleplayer game no one forces you to use it so do what you want

ehh no the ballistic weaver thing is unlocked after you do ~3 missions for the railroad robot

I know about ballistic weave.
They're talking about Bioweave.
I haven't seen anything like that in the vanilla game.
