Survival mode not saving

Wtf? I had this happen to me twice now. I just bought this game and now I lost an hour's worth of playtime when I left the game and it did not save. It seems to only do this when it feels like it. What is up with that? I really don't feel like playing that again....

i assume you are talking about the exit save? I have found it to be unreliable. So just make sure to sleep so it saves.

Unless you are a HC fan of save limitation in Survival mode, then this is something to consider.

Sleep cancel in any matress or sleeping bags you find.

Exit save is an issue, because game may delete it after a load. I had issues with the exit save as well, but it has always saved correctly with Expired's mod. Perhaps he managed to fix that feature?

Exit save isn't exactly a save it's a continue where you left off. The only real saves is sleeping in beds.

Are you trying to use Continue or actually load the Exit save? Continue-option has always been an issue in Bethesda games, which is exactly why I never use it.

Both. Continue didn't work. So next time, I tried to find the game in the Load menu. It's not there.

SUCKS... To find this out now. I just lost about 2 hours of Game Play!!! The worst part is: I exited the game next to my sleeping bag; figured I'd come back... sleep... then continue. SUCKS TO BE ME right now!!! :(

Exitsaves are relatively new, I don't remember when they were patched in... and ironically, they annoy me. I don't want the game saving for me, and I don't trust the exitsave enough to use it anyways.

I make sure to exit to game menu first, then exit to desktop
When launching the game again, load the exit save, never click Continue

Ive never lost an exitsave this way

I slept in a bed twice.... trying to get through fort hagen.... get all the way to kellog walk out save, go back in and die and it kicks me to the main menu....... my saves did not work... ♥♥♥♥ this
