Survival mode's a ♥♥♥♥♥.

are you on survival mode?
Simple Man Jul 31, 2017 @ 4:10pm
If its Survival, sounds about right.

Even at level 70, bloatflies level alongside you and are nasty flying things. Those vampire bugs even more so.

Actually, I don't think I had moved to survival in that new game yet. I wanted to be able to save right after the character creation sequence. Anyways, this seems to be a new developement.

Med-X is your friend, almost as much as stealth. If you're in a bind there's no shame in running either. Better to live and fight another day.:2016bee:

Stock up on Med-X. It raises your poison resistance to 250. The bugs will die spraying. It also works on blood bugs, sting wings, mirelurk hunters, and, believe it or not, mirelurk Queens. I never leave home without them.

Thanks, guys.

Use vats so that you will have time you shoot them.

If I may pop in with a Reminder (to anyone, really):

Don't forget that if you run into a place/enemy that was randomly-rolled to be just a bit too overwhelming, you can turn down the Difficulty, even if it is just temporarily. Noone will judge you, heh

(I was reminded of this in a Loading Screen Tip just the other day)

Take the bloat fly glands and make bloat fly siringer ammo. Shoot every mob with one dart, it will spawn another fly, keep making darts. This is the fastest way to farm legendaries at low levels.
LAZERFACE Jul 31, 2017 @ 7:44pm
Also, take a .38 gun and shoot blackbirds that you see everywhere, When you can shoot the birds in flight, you are ready.

Unfortunately, if you turn down the difficulty of survival node, you will NOT be allowed to return later to survival mode.

Is that really true? seemed to let me toggle it up and down.

respawns are set when you kill a zone though.

if boat flies to hard pull down difficulty as long its not survival
if you start with survival its your own fault.....
get first 50 with some good weapons then start very hard or survivial
its your own fault you die, because you play on that difficulty
if you want to use junk armour and junk weapons to survival expect only one thing :-> Death!

any melee weapon below 1000 as combined damage type effect is pretty much garbage just so you know...

combined damage type effect means this
when base weapon + energy damge or other damage type combines counts to that vaule.
great example: childrens of atom sledghammer(Atoms Judgement) what has 800 base and 350 radiation damage

yes there some gun type weapons like nukes and some missile that do 1000+ damage per shot as well main down side for those very slow reload and very slow fire rate!

for guns round 800 is still pretty good as long there reload and fire speed is bit faster then a fat-man weapon

If I may, this is only if you are already in Survival Mode...

If you are not in Survival Mode, you can turn up and down the difficulty as much as you want.

Although there are mods that allow it, normally once you enter Survival Mode you cannot exit it and come back with the same character.

That's what I meant.
