Install without High Res texture pack

I'm sure it has been asked a million times, but I can't find the answer I am looking for.

I only have around 50GB of space left on my SSD. I want to install Fallout 4, minus the texture pack, but it won't let me because it says I need something like 90GB free.

I know if I had over 90GB free i could just deselect the option for high res after starting the download. Is there anyway to have it set to NOT download the high res pack from the get go>

Can you uncheck it in your library? Can't think of any other options.

No, it allows you to uncheck it AFTER starting the download, but I don't know any way to do it before.

and I JUST figured it out!

You can right click on the game > select downloadable content > uncheck what you don't want and it will download it without that. :)

Have fun, you aren't missing much. From what I hear it causes more problems that it's worth.

I never clicked in the dlc luckily lol, i knew HD crap would be HD crap..

Glad it helped someone out! I'm playing on a MacBook Pro (in boot camp) so it's very helpful so that I don't install the whole 90GB of game
