However, there is a janky way to add doors for an unmodded playthrough. Basically, take the door/entry from the shack housing section and place it as flush as possible to the existing houses entrances, then add a door to them. Yeah you wind up with an entry that has 2 doorjams, but its the only easy way to do it without mods.
which allows you to move the door and place it wherever and whatever height you want.
but people would generally just download a place anywhere mod on the PC. its more a console thing.
You can mod your game AND get achievements. Just Google "fallout 4 achievement enabler" or something similar.
If not, thats on your side and you are propably doing it in a different order.
i'm really trying to not use mods, but the game seems to have a lot of problems... i wouldn't expect this after so many time passed from the release date. the developers are not updating this game?
Fallout 3 is still being sold on Steam even though it doesn't even run out of the box on systems with Windows 7 and above. You need to download community made fixes first to run them.
It does run out of the box, you just need games for windows live installed.
I stand corrected, for some people it did work without issues when they were able to get Windows live to work on their system.
Still though, for many others it did not...
in fallout i'm stuck in the first 10 hours figuring out how to place one door.
meanwhile i quit trying to use those abandoned houses on sanctuary and i built one from start, but now i'm stuck again figuring out how to place doors in the interior of the house. this is ridiculous :D
what about all those construction dlcs? does this work better on dlcs?
Nope, they just ad more doors that you wont be able to use.
Keep fiddling, you'll get the hang of it at some point.
The sliding door works fine, but its the only one.....:(
i think i don't have that one yet.
anyway i just managed to build a nice building without internal doors and it feels safe :') ...i'm going to start exploring now because i already spent way too much time just building the settlement :D
