Which Workshop DLC is the best ?
I dont own any of the dlc's. I plan to buy all of the dlcs. I know about far harbor(game's best dlc) automatron (second best) and nuka world (third best dlc) but what about the workshop dlcs are they worst ?

Wouldnt know never used them.

Well the Vault-Tec bunker is excellent. So that really is a must have. An item or two from the other so called workshop dlc useable by most i would guess.

Wasteland Workshop

The best one from what i've seen in terms of just crafting is contraptions workshop due to the amount of construction you can do with that dlc but vault-tec workshop looks fun if you want a little mix of exploring and settlement building.
The selling points for me, regarding each workshop DLC:
- Wasteland Workshop - lets you capture and tame creatures, that add to different stats if you let them roam around the settlement, such as defense or happiness, and that you can put to fight in custom built arenas.
- Contraptions - lets you create factories that produce useful items, such as ammo (not all, though, you need mods to add 7.62 or 45-70 calibers to the list), edibles, weapons and armor;
- Vault-Tec - lets you create a Vault and adds a small questline to support it;
- Automatron - lets you build robots using hundreds of combinations of body parts, weapons and accessories, adds a small questline as well.

Hope that helps you choose.

Yeah, dogs and cats add to happiness.

And a high happiness settlement has better production rates regarding water if purifiers are built, caps if stores are built, etc. A settlement with around 80 happiness can make you rich pretty quick.

Nice. How to get a dog or cat? I know about buying a dog from that guy.

From Gene, right? But you'll end up having to farm that random encounter.

To capture cats and dogs with Wasteland Workshop, you can use dog and cat cages, found in Cages category. Both cages use copper, steel and canned dog food if you want to capture dogs, or softshell mirelurk meat if you want to capture cats.

Connect them to a power source and wait for a few days, preferably away from the settlement where you placed the cages. Once you see the cages are closed, cut the power to release the captured animals.

They will count then as part of the settlement and add to happiness.

Dogs will use dog houses you built, and cats will stay around cat bowls you place on the ground, both items are found, if I'm not mistaken, in Miscellaneous category of the root menu.

Also, because dogs and cats are passive creatures, you do not need to build a beta wave emitter to tame them (only necessary to make docile hostile creatures such as deathclaws or yao guai).
