Collaring Outside the Lines

I just started "Collaring Outside the Lines" quest but there is no target and no location. Unlike Fallout New Vegus I can not abadon the quest.

Which is false because my game is showing a bug. No target and no location.

Is your target off the main map? e.g. Far Harbor.

I guess it does have a target just not a location mainly not showing up on the map.

Reason I asked was because, in Skyrim, if your target is on Solstheim the location doesn't become apparent until you actually arrive on Solstheim. Thought it might be a similar issue with FO4 given that it's practically the same engine.

If you've got Far Harbor or Nuka World - well the game isn't smart enough to know if you've been there yet or not so it will assign radiant quests in those world spaces. If you're not seeing a marker in the Commonwealth its likely that its in one of the DLC's.

The best thing to do when approaching radiant quests (assuming you know its coming, like the BOS ones) is to save beforehand and then reload if it does that.
