How to get the Alien Blaster Pistol without killing the Alien

Ok, so this isn't going to be a very useful discussion. I just thought I'd put it up for anyone who didn't want to kill the Alien, but the the blaster. This was definitely a glitch. I never liked killing the Alien. He's really cute and awesome. And everywhere I go it says you're forced to kill him to get the blaster. In one game. I ran in the cave, I decided I wasn't going to kill the Alien, I just wanted to look at him. I bumped into him, and he dropped it on the ground. I picked it up before him, and then he just held his hand at me like he was shooting me. The Alien is not scripted to lose his gun, which meant that this was a glitch. But, it is possible to get the Alien Blaster Pistol without killing the Alien. Of course, there's no way to get the ammo for it, so I had to get the fusion mag mod. I went back to the cave after a while, and he was still there, and the blaster pistol respawned in his inventory. If you just saw the event at level 20, and aren't at the level to get the fusion mag mod, you need to kill him for the ammo. Also this is very risky. He almost killed me when I ran up to him. So this is just some information that you don't have to kill the Alien. But if you need the ammo, then you have to.

We're not console peasants here. If we want something we don't need a to laborously compile and extensive database of glitches and bugs to get it.

We just use the built-in debug commands.
