Codsworth disappeared - Help!

I moved Codsworth from Red Rocket Station to Graygarden. Graygarden's population went from 6 to 7. I set him on a supply line from Graygarden to Hangman's Alley. Later, using the Vault-Tec Population Management System that I purchased through the Summer Steam Sale, I removed him from that Supply Line. The line on the world map connecting the two locations is still there. The VTPMS for Graygarden and Hangman's Alley shows that no Caravans are active.

Codsworth never re-appeared in Graygarden, along the supply line's path, or at Hangman's Alley. Graygarden's population also now shows 6.

Any ideas?

Use the VIP Tracker in the same system to trigger "Overseers Most Wanted" or something to that effect. It will place a map blip on him if he is still in the game world.

OK. I'll look for that. I tracked all companions and he isn't even listed as one. Very weird.

Some settelers in graygarden are on that top of a bridge, sitting on a couch there. Maybe Codsworth is there too.

Codsworth does show in the VIP Tracker, but he is not in alpha order. On mine he is at the bottom of the list (use down arrow key if you need to).

I'd rather understand the game's mechanics on my first playthrough rather than use the console. Although, the console is a neat feature to know about for future use.

Totally uncalled for, it was a reasonable request, especially as using the console can mess things up (okay not normally for locating someone), if there is an answer that does not require the console, then that would be better.

@op In this case though, you may have to use the console

codsworth has a tendancy to go back to sanctuary, so if he is not where he is supposed to be he shouldl be outside your old house in SH

Will he do this even if the population of Sanctuary is maxed? For example, my Sanctuary Hills is at 30 settlers currently. I'll check there regardless, but just wanted to respond with that detail.

Just checked. No entry in the VTPMS and he isn't in Sanctuary or on the Graygarden bridge.
