No need to run back to vault for this. Just add a water pump in to your settlement. Groundwater is not polluted, like lakes, rivers and seashores are. You can fill your bottles directly from that, by clicking R with empty bottles in your inventory.
If you have a settlement going on, then all extra purified water is stored in to workshop. You can get water from there as well.
Haha I do this way too many times. I'll ask the question then investigate further and found out about the pumps. Thank you for your answer tho really appreciate it!!
Elsewise yeah just drink purified so you don't risk illness.

Sort of sad though they didn't let you craft other hyrdrating drinks though like maybe combining mut fruit and melons into a fruit juice, adding herbs to water to make teas to name a couple.
Though thats kind of true for the whole cooking system since its very wierd when brahmin are the main domesticated herd animal left all you can do is cook the steaks, youd think atleast theired be some spiced recipies, meat loaf, savory pie and stew.
(Which is already made multiple times in the thread)
