"Continue Traveling with MacCready" - Now what?
Dealing with the Long Road Ahead quest.

I see the following:

Continue Traveling with MacCready
✓ Speak to MacCready
✓ Kill Barnes
✓ Kill Winlock
✓ Travel to the Mass Pike Interchange

I have MacCready as my companion but I don't know what I'm supposed to do with him in order to continue the quest.

Talking to him isn't helping.

Any ideas?

You just need to keep doing things he likes, and eventually your affinity with him will get high enough to continue the quest.

Take Mcready to goodneighbor and break into the warehouses one at a time, saving and relogging after each time. Saving then relogging resets the 'like' timer, otherwise you gotta wait for the timer to reset. Also he likes when you steal from people.

Quit the game and start it again. Just exiting to the main menu may also work. Also, this is a thread that died 6 years ago.

It may have died 6 years ago, but it's still relevant. I'm here a year later looking for the same answers. So, yeah. 👍😁

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
