Edit automatron robots
Hello everyone.

I'd just like to ask if anyone knows a way how to edit the custom made robots once they are built.
IT's not a problem to edit the named bots like Codsworth, but the custom made one aren't editable for me. They also don't have a name, it just say's "command" when looking at them, without a name.

Does anyone know how to fix both these things?

Something wrong with either your game files, or you have a mod conflict...

You should be able to do more than just command them when speaking to them, and should be editable in the Robot workbench once constructed, like Codsworth apparently is...

Hm. I'm not running any mods. Just the DLC's.

But good to know that it's not supposed to be like that. Guess I'll have to find out where there is a problem :/

Could try validating your master files in case they are borked. Library > Fallout 4 >right-click for Properties > Local Data > Verify/validate game cache.

Already tried that. Last thing I could do is reinstalling the game from scratch. This would keep my savegame, right? Or wouldn't it?

Apparently when you make bots and have them as companions after completing the Kellogg quest and before completing Dangerous Minds, this can be an issue (I had the same issue myself). I don't think there is a fix for it, so I just assigned the bots to supply runs so that I didn't have to think about them.

Supply runs? Looks like I've missed something as I haven't done this yet. How do I do that?

Just make bots, and allocate them to supply routes.

I should point out that there is also a bug related to supply runs where the robots lose all modifications, though it is not like you could take said modifications off of the glitched robots anyway.

They do re-appear though.

I know this is a very old post but I'm still having issues are finishing it
