Where did the nuke come from at the beggining if Fallout 4? And a few other questions
1.Anyone else notice that there wasn't a missle or anything that caused the nuclear explosion in the begging? 2.Any verification of the sybol on the Megaton bomb that looked like the vault tec symbol which could signify that The Enclave and Vaut Tec maybe started the Great War. With there bieng a possible Vault Tec symbol on the Megaton Bomg it was on an American Plane which from what I could find there was nothing saying about what direction it was heading. East would be an unwise choice to strike China unless you were bombing someone else (or the captial itself) And the Vault Tec Rep was CERTAIN that it wa going to happen very very soon providing a possible hint to them wanting it to happen or knowing when it will happen so they could do their experiments and The Enclave could be the dominent force in the new world?. But its just a theory so don't go hating theorys are theorys they mostly aren't going to stick to the original lore. What are your thoughts about it did China really start the war? or is there an even more sinister plot at hand? (even more sinister than Valt Tec it self)

Well, I can answer your first question. The Nuke probably came from an ICBM Warhead, which the human eye probably wouldn't see before it detonated (They are extremely small against a referenceless sky, and traveling extremely fast)

The rest is heresay, but it's strongly suggested in the lore of Fallout 2 that Vault-Tec (Specifically an AI, nto Vault-Tec itself) Started the Great War. However, given the nature of Fallout as a setting, this merely could have been a reference to the film Wargames, where an AI almost starts a nuclear exchange between the US and Soviet Union.

It's a terminal in the Switchboard, in the first Railroad quest.
And while it says that the DIA found (possibly) Chinese planes entering the US and then nuclear launches and detonations, the DIA is a a defensive unit and there's no record of the US' own offensive action and whether anything happen before those nukes were incoming. So it's not a guaranteed that the Chinese started it.

There is also the Yangtze Submarine in the harbor in F04. It's not clear if it actually launched a nuke, however during the associated quest; it is found that the sub still has some unlaunched nukes aboard.

I have a feeling this was the sub which launched the high yield nuke that we saw in the begining. The one that was inteneded to hit the Sentinel Site in the south.
Although the Captain doesn't say exactly what his targets were (he probably had no idea what they were anyway).

According to some information about a movie that was cancelled, Vault Tec supposedly lauched the nuke that started the war. (Insane Vault Tec CEO).

I tend to believe nobody in their right mind would want to start a nuclear war that would end in total annihalation. This would lend some credence to the possibility Vault Tech was behind it.
But, I'd sure like to know who really started it.
