Stuck minimized/in task bar?
I launch the game, and it gets to the mini-launcher with the settings and such. I click play, and it just gets stuck in my task bar. If i hover over the icon it is playing at the main menu, and you can still hear the background music, but it won't open on my screen.
I've tried deleting FalloutPrefs.ini and Fallout.ini, restarting my computer, doing both at the same time, restarting steam, and I can't think or find anything else. The weird part is that it was working comepletely fine for around 30 hours of gameplay. It's just now deciding to have problems, and it's quite infuriating. Oh, also it sometimes just doesn't respond after launching, but only sometimes.

Specs:
GTX 1060 6GB
8GB DDR3 RAM
i5 4690k @3.5ghz

I suggest you update your graphics driver, Windows and also verify your game files. You might even want to run a virus check for good measure, but also try disabling anti-virus software to see if that's causing it. And if you run anything else, like helper apps or just a ton of little stuff on the system tray, then get rid of them and see if that helps.

Also please post your system specs as seen by Steam: go into the Help menu of the Steam client, select System Information and post the full output here in a comment (please don't cut it short). Thank you.

How to verify your game: open the Steam Library, right-click on Fallout 4 on the left pane, select Properties, go into the tab Local Files, and there it's the button at the bottom.

There is a newer driver available. Also try using Nvidia GeForce Experience and let it optimize the game's settings. If you're somehow having trouble with it then go into the Documents/My Games/Fallout4/ folder, delete the three .ini files, start the game's launcher and let it detect the graphics card again, and then use GeForce Experience for optimal settings.

Also try updating the driver to your second graphics card. I'm guessing it's on-board graphics. If you're still having trouble then try changing their initialization order in the BIOS or disable on-board graphics altogether.

Last but not least, make sure the game didn't just start on the second monitor.

Unfortunately none of this seemed to work. Any other ideas?

\Documents\my games\Fallout4 - Go here, look for the fallout4custom.ini

Open it up and make sure the X and Y values are set to 0.

That just sorted mine out; multi monitors and I guess it got confused and was launching WAY off the desktop. Nice one, cheers.
