Cannot Repair Power Armor
I cannot repair power armor anywhere, not in a settlement, not in a random power armor station in the middle of ♥♥♥♥ knows where.

List of things people are going to suggest:
- I have all the resources readilly available
- Yes I have tried manually scrapping things
- Yes the screen says I have x/x materials, but doesn't allow me to repair anyway
- Yes I have uninstalled all mods and tried it with that
- I have tried placing new power armor stations and getting new power armor frames

Any help would be great.

For the people that come across it, it's Some Assembly Required's perk requirements.

OK, That's what you have done.

Try verifying the integrity of the game files.

You have not said what actually happens when you try to repair the PA.

Did you have mods that affect PA in any way? Even if it was just a flashlight mod, post what PA mods you had.

Edit; You have 370 hours in the game. This just start happening? If so, you can bet your bippy it's mod related.

This always seemed funny to me also. The way I got around this is to transfer all power armor items to self. Then go into craft, and then be able to repair/build power armor. Afterwards transfer all un-used items back to the work station. This works for me but is a pain in the you know what. And I use mods also. Could be the problem also.

If it were, I wouldn't replicate it without mods (a clean fallout game, essentially) so im afraid that's not the cause.

Sorry, it just says that I do not have the required items to repair, but gives a full number for every required item (say 10/10 adhesive, that sort of thing).

It's save related, I have not played 370 hours on this save.

Ok, not thinking real clear right now and don't really want to start the game up to check.

Isn't there a pre-requisite perk you have to take to repair PA? Like one of the ranks for Armorer.
Have you taken the perk since you started a new game?

Pretty sure for repairing you do not need a perk. There should be a workaround for this, but I for the life of me cannot think of what (I had this same issue 9 months back).

Well, I just did a quick Google search and one mod that can cause that is Visual reload version 1.4. Even if you don't have that mod there may be others that can cause it aswell. You said you uninstalled your mods. All of them?

I think there is at least one perk required. You should go ingame and check.

I also read that what does still work is to put all the materials in your inventory then do the repair.

Another thing I read was that Some say there's a old bug that will cause that when in Survival mode. Can't confirm it and if there is, I have no idea if it was patched.

I'm checking around. Got to an older save ( a different playthough) where this didn't happen, still happened without mods. Reinstalled, fixed it without mods.

Started isolating mods on that save, apparantly one of my mods adds a perk requirement, but doesn't tell you this in-game. Either way, thanks for your help, seems like I had a double whammy this time (quite bothersome lol).

I doubt you'll respond to this, but which mod was it? I'm having the same issue

If I remembered, I would tell you, but I haven't done anything with fallout for a while, sorry.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ALL THE REQUIRED PERKS, THE GAME WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MATERIALS TO REPAIR THE ARMOR, EVEN IF YOU DO. THIS IS NOT A BUG.
...but it is frustrating that it doesn't visually show the perk requirements like everything else.
Raider: Armorer 1
T-45: Armorer 2, Science! 1
T-51: Armorer 3, Science! 2, Nuclear Physicist 1
T-60: Armorer 4, Science! 3, Nuclear Physicist 2
X-01: Armorer 4, Science! 4, Nuclear Physicist 3

There is a hint though if you mouse over the different mods you can add it will show you the perks required to add them. It is the same perks required to repair the different armor types. They could of definitely been better about explaining things, I remember the first time I tried to get out of power armor. I got the message that I couldn't exit the armor not realizing it was because of the location being to close to something blocking the animation. So it took an hour of looking at forums and online guide who all just said the same thing to press E to exit but when I would go back I hadn't moved so I got the same message. I think it was either Preston or Dogmeat bumping me out of the original position before pressing E worked.
