Stuck, tried everything suggested

Very beginning of the game after talking to the Vault Tec guy.

I have NO mods, no controller. Mouse and Keyboard.

I've reloaded save, re-emerging in the bathroom in the house and even tried standing in different spots when opening the door to the Vault Tec guy...
They all end up with me being stuck just like this. (yes that is my own video)

I've tried alt-tab to the Steam screen and back, tried tcl noclip, nothing works.
I played this game months ago with no problems
I only have some of the ingame dlc's.
reloaded over and over again and always ending up like THIS. STUCK
Help!

When you say no mods, do you mean you've NEVER used mods? If you used to use mods but uninstalled them, that doesn't necessarily mean they're gone as uninstallation in mod managers will sometimes leave some files, and those could cause problems. Also, have you tried verifying integrity of game files, or reinstallation?

Never installed mods. EVER. This is fresh new... even the Hard disk is less than a month old.

That is odd. What happens when you go to Shaun? Can you try playing with him anyway and see if that somehow forces the game to resume? You can try using the console to move Codsworth to Shaun's room to see if that triggers him to ask you to go to Shaun. If none of that works, when you try again, how exactly do you do it? Do you try again from the save the game makes after creating your character? Try deleting your saves and starting again from New Game, if you haven't already

I have visited him and played with him before the Vault Tec guy comes to the door. I have full range of movement before the Vault Tec guy talks to me.

Just for grins have you tried a female starting character?
Probably a stupid idea, but I can't imagine why you can't move.

Have a joystick or controller plugged in? Taking a wild guess. I can not remember which game, but I remember one would disable all keyboard/mouse controls when a controller was plugged in, maybe this game does the same, just it doesn't kick in until part way through the intro sequence? I dunno, shot in the dark, and likely not the problem.

Oh, you meant physically stuck, I misunderstood you. Have you tried player.moveto? Get Codsworth's ID before the guy shows up at your door.

Your mouse seems to work in game and keyboard doesn't after movie plays. Keyboard may have focus on desktop now. Try pressing the windows key + D to switch to Windows desktop. Use your mouse to click the still running Fallout program and enter it again. See if your mouse and keyboard now work, as this sometimes restores the mouse and keyboard focus both back to the program that was left running.

You're not using a controller, but do you have one? You can try and see if it works with it, and if it does you can just go through that part with the controller

After several restarts I managed to get one that allowed me to move after talking to the Vault Tec guy and then saved it after. still confused on why this is happening.
Anyways I can proceed until it happens again I guess.

The Keyboard works, I can console out to "tcl", but even that did nothing. I can also shift+tab to the Steam overlay and type away in discussions... so my keyboard works fine.

I've had the keyboard lose game focus and be on the desk top. This is the reason I suggested what I did. I'm glad you got past the problem as this was the only thing I have experienced. Have fun.

I know this is a tad old. Just throwing out there since I just encounter this bug to.. For me it seems to have fixed it by NOT I say again NOT skip ANY of the conversation with the Vault tech guy but allow him to ramble at you.
