But you'll see. Just learn from the attacks and keep improving your settlements. It will all come naturally to you if you only let it.
About the settlement itself: the roof top is an interesting platform to build on. You can build wood or metal stairs to get on top of it and can then place turrets and whatever you like there.
Mine is for robot depot and where I send all my companions. Though I might have to move the companions to bunker hill or the airport settlemennt later since they can't be used for a Raider Settlement
Thats a good idea red rocket would be great for provisions for raider bases since its too small to build at
it sounds great sanctuary then onto diner you will be also mixing up your settlements builds by doing this and what better way to finish dinner then onto the movies (starlight drive thru)
look south of redrocket alittle for a bit of bartering at a near by farm and at another diner east of red rocket
everyones guilty of playing settlements rather than main quests but as long as your having fun who cares
It can make a good personal getaway if you need it. Once you get more advanced in your builds you'll figure out ways to keep NPC's out of your personal space, but it take a lot of practice to get things just right. I don't think my settlements will truly ever be completed.
Too many mods and infinite combinations!
