Where/How to Find Shotgun Shells!
Yo! Here's some simple ways you can find shotgun shells (without having to buy them)

As a long-time player of Fallout 4, at level 128, I've learned that shotgun shells are expensive and quite hard to find. (XBox One) I need them to use my Explosive Combat Shotgun. Here's some ways I got them real quick...

-Level up your item looting perks to find shotgun shells more often in crates and other containers.

With these perks maxed out you can find 9-15 shells in a wooden container and occasionally get 20-30 in ammunition boxes.

-Raid a raider base.

What I like to do is go to Lexington and raid the Corvega Assembly plant. There you may find about 40 shells after clearing the entire base. If you're at a high exp. level and are mentally unstable (like me), you can go to Libertalia and get a hefty supply of .308 rounds and shotgun shells.

Thanks for reading my post, hopefully this helped you guys!

I have no problem finding ammo. The best way of getting ammo is to simply pick up all weapons. This transfers the ammo in them to your inventory. You can dump the weapons after.

True, I always pick up miniguns often with 500+ 5mm rounds.

Get the Scrounger Perk and you'll be swimming in ammo.

There is also a significant portion of the playerbase that carries more than one weapon, using different ammo.

If you make a 'business' producing water you will never have to worry about caps again...
depending on my playthroughs anywhere from 10k a day to 60k...
More than plenty to buy whatever ammo you need.

I think he means that the problem of finding ammo can be alleviated by buying it. And with enough water, which is available in abundance, can one buy shotgun shells.

I still find it easier to simply produce it with the ammunition plant.

2x Fertilizer, 2x Lead, 2x Plastic will give you 10 rounds. Fertilizer can be had from a Brahmin on a farm as well be found. Plastic also exists in abundance. Clearing out gyms and boxing halls repeatedly as well as scrapping leaded armor (with a high scrapper perk) will give you the lead you need.

And if you are unaware of all the vendors in the game I do not know what to tell you...he also mentioned it's expensive............i can get about 400 rounds a day just from two vendors alone.
If I went to all of them, not to mention vendors at your own settlements, the sky is the limit.

If you are telling me you cannot find ammo at 128 ok.
Crafting
Salvaging
Manufacturing

And if you are short on your favorite weapon...shotgun at 128, ok, then you didn't plan ahead.
HummV_70 Mar 31, 2017 @ 1:53pm
So, the traders at DC, BH, Q, GN, BoS all disapper huh?
HummV_70 Mar 31, 2017 @ 1:56pm
Then I guess LVL4 Stores in your settlements do nothing also?
Just four of those alone will net enough to get you through a day.
