If I drop a homing beacon I got from Captain Zao on the flight deck of the Prydwen and jump on the Vertibird can I get to the airport in time?

Just wondering if anyone did it, and if I do it will it be cool? I have to go away for a few hours and must delay my experiment, but just wondering if...

Also, I noticed there is zero on the settlers for this place, am I supposed to put up a recruiting beacon here?

Nothing will happen if you do it. Depending on the angle it may kill or hurt a BOS member, but apart from that nothing will happen.
It also takes time for the missile to hit the beacon, so you should be able to leave (and load) before the missile hits.

Or you can use power armor and just jump off the prydwen

Oh man, what an utter dissapointment. You were right. Nothing happened, not even an explosion. I did some more experimenting so I could get a feel for the thing, and I was expecting the sub that launched all the missiles that destroyed the commonwealth to be nothing short of spectacular, launching nukular mushrooming cloud joy, but not here. When a game maker finally comes up with (sp edit) that kind of thrill, I'll be on it fast. However, I'll just play on with lack-luster effects. At least the voice-overs are great, and the dying is not so tragic. Still love the open-worldness.

otoh there's only 2 npcs on the decj of the Prydwen. and structures aren;t destructible by damage in FO4. looks at door that blocks fatman blast.
