Problems with Nexus Mod Manager
So I've searched everywhere for an answer to this and since the owners of NMM dropped their support for it and won't help me with this problem, I don't know what to do. Every time I download a mod and when I try to install it, I get a problem occured during install and refuses to do anything else but that. I can't download any mod either it's 1GB or 1KB big. I have tried rollbacking the NMM versions but nothing helped. I was wondering if anyone here knew how to fix this and get NMM to work. It seems like this manager is just a giant piece of ♥♥♥♥ that barely works. FOMM crashes almost every single minute from just downloading and installing mods for no reason. MO2 is the only thing I use where it doesn't ♥♥♥♥ up. Just trying to mod FO3 and NMM is failing. Any help would be greatly appeciated. Thanks.

Hmm didnt know they didnt support it anymore. Ive been useing it recently for F4 and other then a copuple mods had issue downloading it was fine.

When rool back you might have some setting glitched that stays even with rollback. a clean install might be only way. But im not sure.

Presuming you've reinstalled NMM, and are running the latest version?

I have done clean reinstalls multiple times and I am running the very latest version, 0.63.13. I heard they dropped support since they are working on a new hybrid manager between NMM and MO2. That's what I read on the NMM forums.

1. delete all the ini files in /Documents/my games/Fallout4/

2. Launch the game at least once with the default Steam launcher. No need to load any save, just get to the main menu and then exit to desktop. This will make new ini's and also update the game's registry entries (NMM reads these entries)

3. edit your Fallout4Custom.ini as per http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_4_Mod_Installation

4. Launch NMM, check the settings and make sure the Virtual Install folder is on the SAME drive letter as the game. Also make sure the game path is correct. You can set this yourself or let NMM autoscan for it.

5. Try launching NMM as administrator.

6. Make sure your PLUGINS.TXT file is NOT set for read only.

Hope this helps.
