Script extender question
After you install fallout 4 script extender, do you always have to use the script extender .exe to enter the game or should i use the regular launcher? Which one do i use?

Personally I use the Nexus Mod Manager's launcher. It *should* work fine if you use the normal Steam launcher, but last I heard it didn't work for old games (which is when I started using mods) so it's made me kinda paranoid about it.

You always have to launch it through the script extender.exe

Either one should work fine, so probably regular launcher.

Not with this game, not anymore. I know I don't.

That's wrong. If you want mods which rely on the script extender to work, you have to launch the game with it. If you don't have any such mods, it is redundant either way.

NMM launches F4SE's executable regardless, so there's no point in said suggestion.
Plus you can just leave NMM closed since all it does is manage your load order at most.

You'd be wrong, F4SE injects into the memory during the startup of Fallout4.exe, I'm assuming you have no idea what I'm even talking about so in simple terms:
Yes you do.

so does nmm by default launch F4SE?

You can tell NMM to use F4SE as default launcher. That's the way ,i have my NMM set up.

OP, in NMM under Launch options click the drop down menu and Launch with F4SE will be one of the options.
