Can i join multiple factions ?
Can i join multiple factions without locking myself out of any of them? Are there certain points of no return?

Yes you can and yes there are. The best but spoiler way is to go on the wiki and read the faction quests. Each faction has a quest that is a point of no return that will cause one or more other factions to become hostile.

Also if you meet a certain faction in the main quest line before joining one of the others then that certain other faction will not trust you and you cannot join it anymore(spoiler: that faction has something useful you can't obtain in any other way). Just don't rush through the main quests. When a point of no return is encountered during faction missions then the game will warn you of it allowing you to back off.

Warning comes in its own popup notification so it's pretty obvious. It asks you "Faction X will want to murder you if you proceed. Are you sure?".

Aside from different endings you get some items and can permanently unlock useful tech for crafting/building. The latter of those 2 is the more important one.

Yes there are points of no return but you're warned, and yes it's possible to achieve a state of being friendly with every possible faction in the game. (Minutemen, Railroad, Brotherhood of Steel, and Institute)

Is it hard to acheive that without the obvious use of console command?

it's normal play vanilla. not difficult at all, more it's designed for you to join all 4.
don't need console in fo4.

Well i mean you can join all 4 but at some point you have to choose a point of no return which most likely makes 1 or 2 hated.

You can do it easily without the console but it's impossible to finish the main questline with all four factions surviving.
