Old Guns Quest...Glitch? (Resolved)

I don't know if anyone else has encountered this, but here's the problem i'm having. When I get the quest Old Guns I return to the Castle to talk to Ronnie Shaw, when I attempt to talk to her she keeps saying "Not so fast General, you need to get the Artilary schematics and smoke grenades". Well I can't do that till I've talked to her, but she just keeps repeating the fore mentioned line, and yes I have attempeted restarting the game and reloading saves.
Anyone got a solution to this?

Theres three console commands you can try. Just make sure you save BEFORE you try any.
The QuestID for Old Guns is 000aa778 - note this down.

GetStage 000aa778 will give you your current stage number

ShowQuestStages 000aa778 will display all quest stages SQS will also work

Lets say you're stuck at stage 570 (using GetStage). Find the NEXT quest stage using SQS and then try advancing the quest using the command:

SetStage 000aa778 <whatever the next stage is for you>

For example, if the next stage is 580, you would type:

SetStage 000aa778 580


Be extremely careful with the SetStage command. You should only use it as an absolute LAST resort since you can introduce problems that can break your game later on. Just a warning.

Do I understand it right?

You went through the undeground part of the Castle with Ronnie, she openned the armory and then repeats this line:

"Not so fast General, you need to get the Artilary schematics and smoke grenades"

If so, did she then go with you to the Armory itself?
Did you actually pick up the schematics and smoke grenades inside the Armory room?

To solve the issue, I went down to the basement, killed the sentry, then went up, tcl the armory door and grabed the schematics. This updated the quest state to "build the artillery"

The only way that mission will mess up is if you clear the castle junk before doing it, so do not scrap anything at the castle and it should work fine

i ever scrap the rubble long before i get here quest and NEVER got any problems with here.

Pick up the schematics and the two piles next to them, get the smoke granades out of the yellow container, build the artillary cannons and assign a minuteman to each one.

You have to go through the tunnels (you said you did, fine) and then you have to go into the armory and pick up the schematics off of the shelf -- NOT JUST THE SCHEMATICS, you also MUST pick up the smoke grenades!!! Once you have both the schematics AND smoke grenades, the quest will progress to telling you to setup the artillery.

This Worked for Me! but it was Stage 560 needed to be 570

OMG THAT WORKED!! I tried all the tricks I found, nothing helped me to make progres. It was the Grenades I didnt pick up. Thanks a lot <3
