LOOT.EXE HAS A VIRUS CALLED Heur.Adv.ML.C
I was warned by Norton 360 Premier that Loot.exe has a aggressive virus called Heur.Adv.ML.C hidden inside it which can harm/slowdown you computer, your internet connection, etc. Look up some info for your self, easy done. No more LOOT on my computer!
It's up to you how you gone react or what to do. I search for a tool like the old BOSS to organize my mod and found LOOT. A lot of friends used it, not any more, and I thought "ok, sounds like nice little program.." but couldn't install it because of the virus hidden in the exe-file.
Anyone else with the same experience?

False Positives, norton sucks in that regard and has the highest false positive rate besides Clam AV, add it to the exceptions

Lol, have had literally one false positive in the five years of having Norton and have never gotten a virus.

saying "5 years of having norton"
Is about like saying "5 years of having a computer"

Let me guess, it came preloaded didnt it?

Well, I know I'm digging up this thread, but OP's assumption was never questioned so here I am.

Heir.AdvML.C is part of heuristic virus detection, not a virus. OP is basically saying that Norton is detecting a part of itself as a virus, ignoring the actual warning the program was giving them. It's more likely that they have more than one antivirus installed, or Windows Defender is interfering with Norton. Or maybe Norton really did detect itself, that would be hilarious.

Heuristic detection methods tend to have false positives, especially for programs like LOOT which alter certain files outside their own directories to function.
Arrrrgh! who woke me from my slumber? Oh, bloody necro threads!
