i have to talk to ellie to continue my mission with valentine to find the sole survivor's son but instead she just says randown $hit

Yes but the last play through I played I used those same mods no problems

Look up the quest stage that your at and use console to take it back a stage. Don't do this in the same cell as Ellie and things should right themselves. If your playing survival mode then download the console enabler mod. If that don't work then I'm sorry I don't know what else would fix it. The same thing can happen with ada when you first meet her and I tried everything to fix it. This worked for me then.

Try the following; ResetQuest MQ105
I'd recommend doing this in a different cell then saving and exitting to desktop then reloading to ensure it loads up correctly and resets Ellie. If this don't work for any reason then try:
SetStage MQ105 30
This should skip talking to Ellie (and may skip the reward for saving Nick) and move things along to talking to Nick. If neither of these work then I'm at a loss and you may need to load an older save. Speaking of saves make sure you have a backup save incase anything awry happens, it shouldn't but it's good practice.

I fixed it I did setstage mq106 0 and it put me in kellogs house
