Hey guys, is there anyway to seperate the workshop/pov toggle key? (Default F) Cus whenever I'm in a settlement and want view my character, it pull up the workshop instead. Super annoying.

Yes, if you get FO4 Hotkeys. You can seperate all the combined keys with that, including melee/grenade. Very excellent mod.

i'm vanilla on pc, my workshop build key I hold down V. My weapon favorites are F.
V is also my 1st-3rd person toggle.

You can also slave commands to your mousewheel. I use that for my 1st-3rd person view.

y, I have W on my thumb button and E-R on my scroll sideclicks, and Enter on my hidden thumb-2..

In my default settings workshop is hold V and POV is press V. I tend to use the mousewheel to view my character though so anytime I hold V and it gives me a close-up of the back of my head it tells me I'm outside the settlement trying to rearrange someone else's stuff.

So I tried the mod. I wanted to separate the toggle POV & Workshop to 2 different keys so I tried G=workshok. It works but then the game still uses F as both POV & Workshop :( Is there any way to set F or any key just for POV and POV alone?

Basically, I want (example) X for POV & Y for Workshop. Hope it make sense.

dunno why you use F at all. [plus you can scrollwheel your pov.]

I've had a good look but there doesn't seem to be a console command to cleanly switch between 1st and 3rd person. The best I can find is:

show1stperson

This puts the view into 3rd person if you are in 1st person. Doing it again will overlay the 1st person model. You have to switch back to 1st person with the scroll wheel or the toggle-pov key. Using "show1stperson" is not so horrid once it's bound to a key using FO4Hotkeys, still too messy for my liking though.

I did find something useful:

animcam

This one lets you rotate around your char in 3rd person when you have your gun out, instead of the cam following your aim. That always bugged me.

Such a shame we have all these combined keys. The only one I tolerate is jump/jetpack, because the two actions flow together. Nothing flows together about pov/workshop, or even worse throwing a grenade when you're trying to melee. Grr consoles.

Yea but you can't use any of that with your weapon out. F or V or whatever the key is doesn't matter. If I have a weapon out and in a settlement, I can't use 3rd view. Because Bethesda decided to combine the POV and Workshop key together.

Yea. These combined keys are supper annoying. That melee and gernade thing too! >.<

Anyways, if you use commands, I suggest you try out "tm" to turn off HUD and then "tfc 1" to fly around your character for a perfect screenshot. It better than "animcam". Also use "tgp" to pause the game for an action shot.

The great thing about the mod you showed me is that I can hot key all of the commands above so life is much better now. Thanks!

You need to read the question before providing solutions. Hotkeys mod DOES NOT do console commands.
