Stupid thread.
(Since I see no point in any companion, I usually play alone, when I am not weighed down with one by the game.)

Addicts are not known for deep interpersonal skills or tollerance. Tho you are not wrong about the general quality of companions being very weak.
And it is fun to have a companion along that dislikes many things you do... love/hate relationship.
Agreed. If the NPC's left or what ever it would suck, but they are very forgiving. I got a few complaints, the NPC"s are not one of them vecause they make the new Fallout games. Without them they would have cut popularity in half or more.
And the reasons to have Cait as a companion are... she's an absolute beast with a decent melee weapon, and she's got one of the best stories of any companion, right up there with Nick.
You can level Strong up fast by taking the Cannibal perk and eating corpses.
Once you max out Cait's affinity, you can then freely take her anywhere you want and do whatever you want with here there and it won't matter that much.
However the whole point of making each companion like different things is because there are different ways of playing the game and each companion is designed for different players who play the games those ways. It doesn't make sense for Danse to follow around someone who murders and eats civilians.
