Darn it Preston, leave me alone
Seriously what a pain in the butt. I finally had to turn in quests then run away so he wouldn't give me any new ones.

I am going to move all my weapons and stuff to home plate in Dimond city.

Can you store your idle companions there?

I send my idle companions to Red Rocket, and sentence Preston to life alone at his precious Castle.

If you hate Preston now, just wait until he keeps hitting on you nonstop. "Is it time we had that talk?" :berserk:

I date Piper AND Cait myself, whether I'm playing Nate or Nora.

Gage I can understand some women (or men I guess) finding him attaractive due to him being a bad boy with a bit of a head on his shoulders.

Preston though... he just comes off as creepy and needy, always following the SS around whenever you visit a settlement he's at and hitting on my character all the time. Once when trying to skip through his needy/creepy conversation I accidentally pressed up one too many times and flirted with him... had to reload my last save, then decided I didn't need to buy that shipment of cement badly enough to risk him hitting on me yet again.

yeah, you're not the only one. first playthrough he was moderately annoying, second playthrough i grew to despise him, every playthrough after that i just avoid Concord altogether.

i hate that he just doesn't take no for an answer for being general of the Minutemen. and if i'm general of the Minutemen, why is he telling me what to do while he just sits around all day apart from the occasional stroll? yeah, the MM cause is so important to you, that's why you do NOTHING to help.

then if you help the Nuka World raiders expand, he gets all butthurt but still tries to give you MM quests. like bruh, the fact that i'm slaughtering settlements all over the Commonwealth should be a pretty good indicator that i couldn't give a ♥♥♥♥ less about the MM.

he's one of the worst thought out characters i've encountered in a game in recent memory.

send him to a settlement you don't care about such as the mechanist lair and he won't bother you

If an NPC ruffles your feathers, then you must be needing it, or else would you be ignoring it.

Oh I've done all his quests, but my OCD of having quests is killing me.

He just exists to keep you busy. He is your second-in-command and will always bother you with details. You're his general, so be a cool cat.

If you've gotten to the part where he wants to retake the Castle, send him there to prep the attack and leve him there. If you've already do it, move your base to the Castle and send him to Sanctuary.

Tired of the multitude of quests Preston gives and me being OCD enough to want to clear my Quest log and thus doing every one in hopes he would eventually stop giving quests. At level 31 I figured I should go do the main quest line a bit at least up to the brotherhood of steel arrive and do some exploring. I hit level 37 and both of the last quests Preston gave me disappeared from my quest log. I got a message that it was too late to help the settlers at the two locations (Oberland Station and Tenpines) and I am free and clear of Preston and his quests.
