I like making up Mutant Mutt Chops (cook them after getting several pieces of Mutant Hound Meat from the big green critters the Super Mutants raise). It restores health AND remoses rads without the nasty side effects Radaway gives you under Survival mode.
It's fairly OP if you use power armor all the time unless you play with enemy damage upscaled quite a bit. Also makes enemies in power armor huge threats as well though.
For vanilla there is the last rank of the ghoulish perk if you have Nuka World. That causes you to slowly heal radiation.
Wouldn't work. Power armor removes any bonuses your clothes or armor have, you will only get the benefit of the power armors rad resistance.
Hazmat suits have the best rad resistance in game, but next to no damage resistance. Power Armor has a mix of both rad resistance and damage resistance. If you are focusing on stealth then a radiation/hazmat suit would be the best way to negate most radiation in the game, you'll still get rads but it'll be a trickle compared to what you get without it.
Well, in the vanilla game, anyway.
If you're counting the Far Harbour DLC, the Robes of Atom's Devoted (from Far Harbour) can do even better, since once they hit their maximum radiation level, you won't gain any more radiation and can even restore all your health, despite the health bar still looking red. Glory to Atom!
Just use rad-x on those few places with high rad ( like Glowing sea..). Anywhere else(=most common areas) high rad resistance dont help you much anyway as there is still minimal treshold you get unless you mitigate it by perks (water, food, ghoul attacks, rad fog..).
