How do you deliver electricity to a multple-story buildings
So, I encountered a little problem when started to build my new commie blocks - lighting them up is a little tricky, because conduits plased outside do not always reach light sources placed inside and running cables inside the building is kinda meh. Any advices?

sorry but its the way the lighting system works in game, you have to run power conduits along the cieling to reach the radius of the lights in the center

If you want to keep the wires outside then don't make the rooms on each floor any bigger then 3 blocks wide (by blocks I'm talking the floor pieces)

so do like a 3 x 6 block room or 3 x 9 block room or whatever length you want

you can get wire up there using some glitching with the conduits use one to get it flush with the ceiling then use a wire connector that goes up. it will go through warehouse floors and now you have a wire nipple sticking thru your floor that you can connect to to now run thru the next floor.
also if you remove a wall then place a conduit on the floor you can put the wall back and it will go into the next room.

this video showed me how to do it its 43 min long so start at about 16 min in show what i am talking about

Something like this what you have in mind?

as you see in the image, the through wall conduits are actually totally outside.

Use the through wall conduits and use the longest one of them as it reaches from floor to ceiling.
Best to have all your floor sections all pointed in the exact same direction for a guide.
At each end of the building remove two sections of wall panels. (you'll snap them back in l8r)
Place your sections of conduit along the floor in line with the center of the floor panels.

Once you get everything lined up along the floor the way you want them,
Move the conduit sections from the floor to the ceiling
repeat for each floor.
Once all floors are completed connect the inputs together with wire,
snap the wall panels back into place

Bit tricky to get the hang of, but once you do you'll be able to duplicate it over and over again.

Windows can be used to bring power in directly (though I guess one of the DLC has a special through wall conduit).

When running power inside a building I try to use wall mounted conduits to avoid walking through low hanging wires.

This is damned clever. I always used those the other way around with the single connection sticking INSIDE the wall by just a fraction and then running wires off of that. But that's because I always considered conduit too fussy to use. Guess I have to brush up on my skills...again lol

The wire glitch is a good friend in general: Aim your pointer so there's a connector under the middle dot, but a nearby wire is highlighted (usually one already attached to the connector) and press select. You should now be able to run a wire from the connector to wherever you like, through walls and so on. After use, exit and reenter build mode (because this glitch temporarily throws off the build mode targeting).
