I have over 200 hours into this game, you are just trolling at this point.
i mean new vegas had house and thats it as far as intresting characters as for locations new vegas had none even the main city was lacking how the hell is it suposed the jewel of the post war world when most of the citys back in 1 and 2 were better off?
House wasn't an interesting character, he was just a computer that invalidated all of the choices the pc made by saying just as planned no matter what you did.
Well he was still the most intresting character in the base game.
Gannon was eh at best, and was way too young to be a Remnant anyway. I didn't find him interesting at all.
House was interesting, but not as a character; more of what he has done, and his past.
Ceaser was kind of eh. I liked him, but not very interesting. (his Current legate is probably more interesting)
Graham was interesting, but again, not really himself. His past was the main interest for me, while he was only a little interesting when you met him.
Ulysses is kind of hard to say. He is more mysterious then interesting for the most part. He would probably be more interesting if more was explained about him, and his past.
How many of those 200 hours have been invested into settlement building, as opposed to exploring the game?
As others have said, there are some amazing locations and characters in FO4, not all of them obvious, and many of the best locations and moments are not marked with a compass pip, or quest marker (someone mentioned the toymaker - Arlan Glass - which brings a tear to my GF's eye each time she returns his holotape), forcing you to really get out and look, rather than just be lead around by the nose...
Gannon wasn't part of the Remnants himself, he was the child of Enclave members, growing up after the Enclave collapsed... And yeah, I found him damn'd annoying...
Big mt was dlc i was talking the base game as I actually liked new Vegas dlc plot line seeing as it followed the theams that fallout was built on and didnt try to be a bad cowboy/war simulator like the main game did.
If your bringing up dlc I'll admit i liked the think tank and the dead money characters and thought they were well written with no issue.
However ceaser is a poorly written character who existed only to provided exposition dumps and act in horrible stubif and contradictory ways.
Graham was a one dimensional revenge obsessed none character
Gannon was well plain boring and added nothing to the game.
Ulsses was alright but hes nothing special.
