what button do i press to wait to make the time go by faster? thanks...

T, like in older Fallouts, but now you can wait only when you sitting

you have to be sitting in a chair/sleeping in a bed to skip time unlike other Fallout's.

You get the prompt when you sit down.

Wait is to to make your companion be still. Start them again by click Follow.

Have to sit down on a chair or a couch. You'll get the prompt then.
