Fallout 4. Jalbert brothers disposal site. Cannot clear (A quest from Rhys @ Brotherhood)

So yeah, i got this quest from Rhys. I´ve stumbled to this locarion before, (without the quest) and i killed everything in sight. Now that i have a quest for the actual place, i cant seem to get it done. I fast traveled there when i got the quest, killed 5 mole rats and 1 glowing one, if memory serves correctly. I have also looted every safe in the compound, includin the traincart with the mines. I also read the Children of the Atom ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t form the computer. To me, there seems to be nothing that i can do to finish this quest. I´ve wandered through the compund like an hour. And as a last hope, i shot four mininukes to the place. In hopes that it would kill anything and everything that might be glitched underground or whatever. The quest marker is still on the point of one of the molerats "digging sites". And i am so done with this. There might be something obvious that i´m not doing, and cant see the forest for the trees. SO, i would really love some help with this. Anyone that figures this one out, has 20 acres of land and a castle in my imaginary kingdom. With Regards, - Idiot from Finland.

I had this error and finished quest by hitting the last one stuck underground with melee weapon.

This happens fairly often at this location and especially the National Park Campground in Far Harbor. Here's the work-around if you can't find the last enemy:

Open the console and enter (no quotes) "player.setstage bosr01 40"

You'll now get the "report to knight Rhys" message so you can turn in the quest as usual.


Don't try using "Completequest" since this will permanently break Knight Rhys as the questgiver.

When was this ever a location for Rhys? I thought that since it is inhabited by mole rats and not ghouls, super mutants or synths, you should not ever get a quest from him to go there.

Still doesn't make sense why this location would be selected.

I've just had the same issue; the MOM was indicating a point on the floor in the middle of the yard, and whenever I walked over that point, I took a few rads ("<3/sec") so I reasoned there was a Glowing Molerat underground there. I tried to aggro it by throwing a Molotov Cocktail just there, but that had no effect, so then I tried VATS and it showed the submerged molerat, with a low chance to hit its front legs (20% and 35% IIRC), so I gave that a go, and missed, however, then the Mysterious Stranger showed up and retired the molerat himself.

Lucky, I know, but at least one way to resolve this.

I had the same issue and found using vats where the quest marker is shows a glowing mole rat as Rhort pointed out and but you can’t hit it normally. However, using a critical shot does work and allowed me to complete the quest.

What worked for me: go right there where the quest marker is until you get radiations, hold the VATS button (q for me) until it goes it vats, then shoot even if it shows no enemy... that brought that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rat out.
