You cannot teleport items, but you can use them to build and craft in your linked settlements
Konkayz Feb 24, 2017 @ 1:52pm
When you store things in one workshop it stays in that workshop. To share junk between workshops you must assign a settler or robot (if you have atromaton) to a supply line between settlements. Only junk is shared. Any weapons, apparel, aid, misc or ammo isn't shared. This also apply to things you build. You will only have them available in the settlement you built it.

Oh you can only use stuff to build in workshop mode. I though tyou ment the junk/resource items. IF mean items like guns and armor then no it wont link. Only stuff so can build.

Guns and armour, no. Junk items can be shared across workshops if you have linked your settlements as tulle said. But individual junks items will not appear in other workshops. Money used to set up stores will use money from other settlements before taking from your personal purse.

oh ok got it, it would be nice though

You can also just get Rank 4 of Strongback Perk, and you can fast travel when overencumbered, it will allow ya to move everything from settlement to settlement, its what I do

btw if ya want a good supply lines map this is a good way to path it, ya want the travel distance to be as low as possible between each one

Oh one thing I remembered playing last night; anything you need for crafting is shared for crafting. For instance if you put ingredients for noodle soup or a cryo-grenade in the workshop in red rocket you can produce them at the workbenches at any settlement connected via supply lines. Just thought I'd point that out.

how do you connect them? is it pretty simple to do so?

go into workshop mode and find a settler. and a option "MOVE" will appear at bottom.

you have to look at settler also.

Go into workshop mode and highlight a settler. Press 'Q' and select which settlement you want them to connect . You've now set up a supply line :-)

No, it doesn't travel magically between settlements.
However, getting the Local Leader rank 2 perk will allow you to set up "supply lines" which are basically sending one settler to the other back and forth, which makes you able to use all the materials

That is to move the settler to another settlement not to create a supply line .
