put the "DLCUltraHighResolution.esm" into another folder. Just create one, put it in, and you are good.
It is a "master-file" without it the texturepack can not be initialized and you will have the old textures while keeping your files.
When you wish to restore it just put the .esm file back in place.
This way you will NOT have to redownload 56GB if you decide you want to use it.
See above. Just remove the .esm file :)
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Fallout4\plugins.txt
Mod Manager users have it easier
Unwise. People would need to rewrite the entry when they decide to use it again. Harder to remember than putting the esm into a seperate folder.... and might brake their installation when they do something wrong.
Dont give advice that people cant deal with when unfamiliar with mods.
You are sure that this won't make Steam try to download again the whole thing?
I noticed that when zooming at everything it seems to be a little bit better and clearer.... I feel quite disappointed. I was waiting for something way better that this, especially after a 54GB texture pack (that's more than whole F4 + DLC!!!) and Bethesda says that we need a 6 cores, 12 threads CPU and a gtx 1080....
Yes it wont make steam download it again. You can just revert back. I did this for testing textures. Do you think the people who compared them downloaded the 56gb every time they turned it on and off? :P
Dont worry, it will work fine for you.
All the .esm file does is list the BA2 archives. When the file is gone the game just ignores them and loads the default textures. Steam does not notice this.
So they (Bethesda) use the same as in other titles, but in the launcher of F3 and FNV we could disable esm files with mods or DLC directly. Why they didn't implement it in F4 launcher?
Because they want to make you use their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ingame-mod system. So they can sell mods to you as they had already planned before.
That is why it was taken out in the first place. They want your personal information in return (making you login with an account)
I dont know if you are aware, but before they pulled this ♥♥♥♥ off there was a hidden launcher in the launcher that did what you just said. (you had to click on the left side a little below the middle and you would open it)
Well that's some bad $hi*...... Thx for leting me know that...
You obviously don't like this game or bethesda so why don't you p*ss off and annoy another game community.
