Rad Suit help

Need a rad suit for quest (fix pipes under heavy radioactive water)
only place guides list is Hugo's Hole.
1. its in a higher level area
2. only way IN is though a mega high rad pasage- loaded with traps and turret (or something)

is there a rad suit thats safe-er to get?

maybe a doctor to heal the rad poison and foot damage I already has?

I usually fix it by wearing the vault suit (some rad prot), a gasmask of your choice (more rad prot) and munching down a Rad-X, (loads of rad prot) and then doing it as fast as I can.

There will be some rad damage, but nothing a single rad-away won´t fix.

You can buy a hazmat suit from becky fallion in diamond city
However the radiation isn't that bad. just use rad x and then find a doctor to heal you afterwards

There is a wandering doctor in the northwest area of the map but finding her is just pure luck....

There is one in covenant
There is one in bunker hill
There is one that travels between bunker hill, country crossing, finch farm and the slog
and of course the doctor in Diamond City


hazemat suits offer 1,000 radiation protection
An easy hazmat suit is to do the railroad quest to recover an item from thier old hideout, you will have Deacon with you so it will be easy
You can buy one from Fallons in Diamond City

The others are no so easy to get, well the one in Dunwich is easy but you will take a lot of rads getting to it

You could take the perk the makes it so you do not get rads from swimming in water next time you level up

If you have local leader perk two and medic you can build a med center in your settlemant and assign a settler to it

no idea where those are, farthest ive explored is... hut with the named ghoul in the basement who was making a mini-nuke to blow up the power line tower
and the quarry where the sunken pipes are.

The main quest will take you to Diamond City, Convenant is sout east of the quarry on the far side of a lake there is a rest home? on the near side.

The other places...well I do not think I can discribe how to get there.....

wait is there not a wastland mag in the ghoul bomb maker celler that marks diamond city on your pip-boy or am I remembering this wrong

Im still in the NW corner of the map. as ive said Farthest ive explored is:
Gorksi Cabin
Thicket Excavation.
so guess for now that quest will have to wait a bit.

underwater radiation is disabled if you have a skill look under skills its a icon with waterpool

im nowhere near leveling and need to spend my next.. two to three perks on other stuff.

as I said, putting it on hold for now. Whist i search for some RadX and Rad-away. and whicher of the mats im missig to improve the vault suit to block more rads.

The effect of rad-x stacks too, so if you take 1 rad-x you get 100 radiation resistance, take two, get 200 radiation resistance.

You can also cook Baked Bloatfly (needs 2 bloatfly meat) for +20 radiation resistance for 10 minutes, and also Vegetable Soup (1 x carrot, 1 x tato, 1 x dirty water) for +25 radiation resistance for 1 hour.

Just popping one or more rad-x is the quickest and easiest way.
Check your inventory, its likely you have 2 or 3 already. If your on survival I would strongly advise not using any radaway.

Do railroad quests, the quest where you get the deliverer has 2 hazmat suits near the vault
