Mechanist boss fight bugged?

I'm at the point where you actually reach the boss fight, just after the Mechanist says that his robots will end your reign of terror. After Mechanist tells Sparks to send in reinforcements, and I kill the robots, he just stands there, doing nothing, occasionally wandering around the control room thing. If I fly up with my jetpack and talk to him, he doesn't respond. Help??

Sometimes robots can get stuck inside the places where they spawn from. It's possible you haven't killed them all yet. See if you can VATS find them, check all the openings from where they come out of...

I just TCL'ed everywhere and checked all of the places from where robots spawn, and used VATS. Nada.

If you have a save before you opened the door to the boss fight room, load it, turn around, make sure you have all three holotapes required, and bypass the fight from the security station terminal.

You don't have to stand on the mark until it's time to talk. I've done this fight a few times and it was bugged only once, when I was shooting the robots on the conveyors before they dropped. I'm not sure that's what causes it, but it may be worth a try.

OP load an earlier save.

I'm pretty sure this happens because you shot the spotlights above the control center. You gotta reload an earlier save and do the fight again to fix it.

Watchdog, I do not have all three holotapes. I'll see if I can get them though. JH, I'm not sure I've reached a stage where robots are even coming from conveyors. Park_ranger, I've done that about ten to twenty times already. Jellyfish, I have not shot the spotlights.

I started out the fight by shooting both of them out (Spotlights make me nervous) and it didn´t break my fight at least. My lack of armour dang near did. ^^

If getting all the holotapes doesn't work, you might consider advancing the quest stage along through console commands?

hmm.. what stage number does it say if you type in console getstage DLC01MQ05 ?

EDIT: If you type sqs DLC01MQ05, it shows all the stages of the quest, and which stages have been completed. It may be you need to type in one of the in-between stages using setstage. Make sure you save before using these commands in case it messes something up, but I'd be inclined to try using setstage to the next stage that you haven't completed, if that makes sense. Depends on what result you get from a getstage command.
