Bethesda please buff Big guns like Minigun and Flamer
Minigun and Flamer are iconic weapons of Fallout universe. But they are weak without legendary efects, like Kneecapper or Explsive. t is worth investing into Heavy gunner unless you use Big boy, Mssile launcher or Harpoon (really good and fun weapon)

Also Heavy gunner perk is already quite weak.

Please buff Miniguns and Flamers damage or at least add an effect like supression, which would stagger enemies, reducing their movement and attack rates.

Mini gun and flamer were traditionally crap weapons in the fallout universe

Not in the mood for mods (achievements..)

Also Minigun and Flamer were never bad, just compared to energy guns were absolete in terms of weight and ammo used.

Minigun was alright but it was bottom tier for big gun.

The flamer was useless due to short range and low damage beyond if special kill animation It brought nothing to the table.

legendary explosive minigun is great, any other minigun is crap (wounding is okay, two shot is almost okayish).
I think you can use the console to change values of your gun ;)
Otherwise get a mod or download the creation kit and change some numbers ;)

I have a couple chests stuffed with legendary weapons and armor but I have never used them. It just seems to me they aren't that legendary. With normal weapons I don't have to worry about carrying whatever weapons works best for any particular enemy or wearing the right armor.

I give the missiles, nukes, and miniguns to the companion. So far unlike Raul none of the Fallout 4 companions have used a nuke, the settlers carry the fatman but I haven't seen it used yet. Between the three weapons the mini seems to be the weapon of choice.

A buffed missile, nuke, or mini would be okay for settlers since the settlements usually see the same enemy at each raid. Then there would be the problem with ammo. I gave one settlement all launchers with a couple missiles each and took away the pea shooters. They used the missiles up, spawned new pea shooters and never used the launchers again.

Missile launchers and fatman launchers have a special script that makes ncps use ammunition.

However every other gun as long as they one round they have infinite ammo.

Got that. I took the pipe guns away and they will fire the missiles until the ammo is gone. I have since gave them all other weapons.

The point I was trying to make is with the OP and buffs on big guns. I believe the only real advantage would be settlements but the limitations on ammo would still be a problem.

Get this mod. One-stop shop for your ammunition problems. Just rechamber your minigun into .50 BMG if you're really wanting that kick, beware that each round is 10 caps so...

This made me laugh. Thanks.

The rudest minigun I've seen (outside of explosive, which is just as dangerous to the player anyway) is an Irradiated Minigun which, along with the Nuclear Physicist perks, does 100 radiation damage per shot...

Depending on the barrel, it can do something like 4k DPS, before chem buffs, etc... Normal minigun doesn't even break 1k DPS according to in-game info...

Isnt rad damage worthless against half the things trying to kill you

Yeah, I thought so too, but strangely, it tears supermutants, ghouls, (glowing) Mirelurks and even Deathclaws to pieces... Maybe not as quickly as it does other enemies, but quickly enough...

I can only presume that since it's doing 100 damage per shot, at hundreds of rounds a minute, it is somehow overwhelming their supposed immunity - clearly a broken aspect of the mechanics, but it works, even if only a small amount of the rad damage affects them, etc...

Replace the minigun with the laser gatling. The minigun is the pipe gun of heavy weapons, useful in early game, useless in late game. Shame the flamer sucks hard tho..
