It can happen for them to drop on the Mainland ^^
It means you can load every Muintion that weapons uses at once into the Weapon ,it still uses the Amunition^^
I see. This is actually good and useful info - at least for someone like myself who's interested in learning more about guns, rifles, and firearms in general. It also explains, I guess, why we don't hear that caliber mentioned very often since hunting big game (and bears kind of qualifies as such) has become something only a few, dedicated, nature and hunting loving people do.
But you can still bring it back to the Commonwealth with you?
On a side note, it's peculiar that none of this ammo spawns in the Commonwealth when some weapons that use it do. Still, none of the unique weapons that ender_wiggins mentioned spawns in the Commonwealth, the two rifles I found didn't look different from other of the better rifle types you can find.
I haven't found neither weapons nor 7.62 ammo in the Commonwealth, so that makes a little more sense when you consider that Nuka World was created and added after the main game was completed.
We see the same in Skyrim's DLC where you can go to an island with unique herbs which can't be used for anything except specific quest related stuff on the island itself.
You can still bring things with you away from the island - such as unique armor types which you can also wear outside of the island, but that's all. -- The weapons on the island are the same as everywhere else in Skyrim, but they've been given new skins so they look as if they're different.
Cool, good to know. Thanks for sharing the info.
Must be a unique drop, right? Man, I'd love such a weapon. Ammo has become my greatest worry now that I no longer use .10 and .308. I get by, but I always have that eye on the ammo count because in some situation you can quickly use a whole lot of ammo that you wish you could have avoided using.
I don't think I understand what you mean by this, but then, I'm assuming it's a reply to BlazeD....I'll probably understand once I get around to these weapons and how they and their ammo work.

Thanks all, for replying to my questions, I really appreciate it.
If you put up a Raider Trading Post, you can buy 7.62. There's also a random event that can spawn both in Nuka World and the Commonwealth that has a Merchant with 7.62 (500R) available.
From my experience, the new weapons from Far Harbour turn up as legendary drops because they were added to the legendary list so that legendary copies of them would show up on the Island. They happen to show up in the Commonwealth as well because the same script handles all random legendary items. I haven't seen a non-legendary version of any of Far Harbour's weapons turn up outside of the Island (it's a different matter with Nuka World, since the raiders from there can end up in the Commonwealth and carry the relevant weapons, along with a bit of ammo for them).
It's kind of a fiddly thing to solve, because if you add the new ammunition to the regular ammo lists, players will often be getting ammo types that they can't use because they can't get the right weapons from most Commonwealth enemies (and story-wise, it doesn't make much sense for that ammo to be around in the Commonwealth).
